A'Janae | Nae .

After going back in the kitchen and finding my phone, I waddled my way into the backyard where the rest of my friends and family were.

"There's my Queen." Rashad smiled up at me from his seat. I leaned down and kissed him. Then I greeted everyone and thanked them for coming. All across the yard was my family and friends who had come so far when they really didn't have to. I made an announcement and thanked them all. "Thank you all for coming out and joining us for my baby's birthday." Rashad smiled up at me as I spoke.

"We are so proud to see our little princess, Anaiya turn the big 5 today!!" The whole backyard erupted into an applause as my baby girl shyly ran into her daddy's lap. She smiled, showing all of her precious dimples, as her daddy swung her around proudly. I smiled at the sight of them two and then carried on with my speech. "As you all may obviously know, Rashad and I are expecting baby number two. I said that while rubbing my belly.

Mel shouted from where she was standing, "WOOO THAT'S MY GIRL!" We all laughed at my best friend's comment. Trust me when I said, that girl also knows a thing, or two, about parenting. I smiled at her as I watched her and Cameron's twins sitting on their mommy and daddy's lap.

I finished up my speech with a 'thank you' before taking it all in. Everyone and everything had changed. Mel and I both were very happy and proud wives to two of the best guys this world could have ever given. Rashad has been nothing less of a supporting husband and father, and yes, I admit it brings tears to my eyes to see how far we've came as a couple, and as family.

Anaiya ran up to me, "Mommy, mommy!" I held my arms out to hug my child, "There's my baby girl!!" She smiled at me while rubbing her eyes. "Mommy I'm tired." I rubbed back and kissed her forehead. "I know baby. Let's take you to say goodnight to everyone first."

While carrying her, I pulled out my phone to check up on time. "Damn it.." I mumbled to myself. "What's wrong mommy?" I shook my head. "Nothing baby, it's just getting a little late." A little late?

I lied. This party lasted way longer than it was supposed to. I wasn't even catching up on time. It was already 10pm. But as I walked back out into the yard with Anaiya in my arms, I noticed that the guests realized how late it was getting also. One by one, family by family, the guests came up to say goodnight to us. I embraced them all and thanked them for coming.

After all of the guests were gone, it was only the three of us, and Mel's family who decided to stay back for a bit. We didn't mind.

Rashad took Anaiya out of my arms and I watched her peacefully lay her head upon her daddy's shoulders. Her eyes slowly drifted closed as he carried her up to her room. While waiting for him to get back from tucking baby girl in, Mel, Cameron, and I caught up with each others recent events. "Oh my goodness, child look at what Rashad has done to you." She gawked looking at my belly. I gave a warm smile down at my belly. I couldn't wait to meet my new baby. "I know, girl, I know. Anaiya is so happy and proud that she's gonna be a big sister. I love being a mom. But lawd, how did you do it?"

Melanie laughed, "How'd I do what? You were a mom before I was." I ran my hand over my belly. "Not the parenthood part, but the pushing two babies out in one night." Melanie's eyes grew wide for a quick second and then looked back at me. "Girl, I was TERRIFIED." We all burst in laughter.

Not too much longer after that, Rashad came back downstairs. "Everything alright?" I asked. He made his way over to me. "Yeah. She just wanted me to stay with her 'til she fell asleep." He crawled under the blanket with me and we all cuddled up with our partner to watch a movie like we used to do.

We were all so into the movie, Baby Boy. "Jody slapped the SHIT outta Yvette! ...Pimp ass nigga." Cameron's comment has us all dying. Swear he play too much.
