Hawks lounged on one of the couches in his office, his feet perched on the edge of the coffee table as he scrolled through his phone. He'd just gotten to the office a few minutes ago and he was currently in the process of checking his schedule for the day. On the couch across from him sat three of his sidekicks, all silently staring at him from across the sitting area. Since they'd all threatened him not to show his face in the office on Christmas, he'd given them the day after off instead, which meant that they hadn't had an opportunity to grill him about how his date had gone until now. As if finally noticing their persistent stares, Hawks slowly lifted his gaze from the phone in his hand and all three of them leaned forward at once.
"So?" One of them asked expectantly.
Hawks blinked. "What?"
"How'd it go?" The sidekick in the middle asked imploringly, the other two nodding on either side of him.
"How'd what go?" He replied, feigning ignorance.
The middle sidekick threw up his hands in exasperation and exclaimed, "Your Christmas date, duh! What else?"
Hawks just smirked, dropping his gaze back down to his phone as he chuckled. "You guys... I'm not telling you anything."
The middle sidekick fell back against the couch dramatically. "Awe, come on! We even worked on Christmas for you! Throw us a bone!"
Hawks shook his head, clicking a button on the side of his phone and rolling forward on the couch before sliding it back into his pocket. "I didn't ask you to do that. You guys threatened me not to come in, remember?"
"Please at least tell us that our efforts were worth it?" The middle sidekick's passionate entreaty called out after him as he made his way over to the balcony doors.
He turned his upper body back about halfway, tossing a furtive glance over his shoulder at them through his wings. "I don't know what you guys were expecting, but..."
The two sidekicks who'd been silent the whole time looked over at each other, not missing the sly grin peaking over the edge of his coat collar as he turned back toward the doors.
However, the middle sidekick had clearly missed it and loudly exclaimed, "No way! Nothing?"
"Not telling!" Hawks replied in a singsong tone, shooting him a toothy grin as he took off out the open balcony doors.
A string of unintelligible curses followed him, courtesy of the middle sidekick.

"I can't believe this! After all the trouble we went through to make sure he got the day off he goes and wastes it!" The sidekick exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air.
Hawks Agency was hands down the busiest agency in the Kyushu area. Having been one of the top ten ranking heroes in the country practically since his debut nearly four years ago, Hawks was one of the most a highly sought after heroes in the industry. He flew all over the country for work sometimes, which meant that his sidekicks were left to handle the jobs around town in his absence. Each sidekick Hawks employed was highly trained and capable of handling any kind of job that came across his desk; all five of them.
Top hero agencies, like that of the Number Two Hero, Endeavor, were known to employ upwards of twenty to thirty sidekicks in order to handle the huge influx of requests that came in on a daily basis. The five sidekicks at Hawks Agency were expected to be able to handle the same level of work between them with the trademark speed that Hawks himself was known for; and they did so with gusto. To be fair, when Hawks was in town, he tended to handle the majority of the work on his own. That was just how he preferred to do things. Instead of waiting around for incidents to get worse, he took care of the main job and his sidekicks handled the cleanup.
