You sat on the foot of the bed, staring down at your fingers on your lap and fidgeting with them as Jisoo quickly climbed the stairs up to your shared room. She called out your name a couple of times and it was ready to fall from the tip of her tongue once more until she stood in the doorway and saw you on the bed.

"There you are," she breathed out a sigh of relief, but it was much too soon to do so. Because by your feet, she saw a couple of your bags and across the room was your suitcase. Clothes had been tossed around on the floor, a couple sticking out from your unzipped suitcase.

"Y/n...?" She whispered as she came and took a seat beside you. "W-Why are your bags packed? Are you going somewhere?" She asked curiously and though she was trying not to let it show, she was growing nervous. Her heart was starting to pound in her chest and her hand was a little shaky as she reached to take ahold of yours.

"Jisoo," you whispered sadly and turned to face her. You took her hands and a deep breath, watching as she bit on her lower lip nervously. "I think we should take some time apart."

As soon as the words left your lips, she released hers from your teeth. It trembled and she blinked her eyes quickly to hold back the tears gathering in her now sad brown eyes.

"What are you talking about? Like... break up?"

You nodded your head and stared down at your intertwined hands. But you looked back up at her when you heard her take in a shaky breath.

"No. I don't understand. What did I do?"

The question broke your heart in two, almost as much as the sob that came from her mouth.

"You didn't do anything,"

"Then don't go!" She pleaded, lips still quivering. She threw her arms around you and buried her face in your neck. You felt her warm breath and her tears on your skin. Her breathing was unsteady, panting out of nervousness. "I love you so much. You're the only one I want, y/n." She spoke as she lifted her head from your neck.

Her fingers shook slightly as she cupped your cheeks and said, "You're my other half. You make me better. I don't know what to do without you. Whatever happened, please tell me. I'll fix it! Did some comment under your skin? Or is it that I've been busy in the studio a little more lately? I'll fix it. I'll fix it all right now. Just... don't go. Please don't leave me. I need you. I love you."

You cracked right then and there. You shook your head and cursed under your breath, kicking yourself for pulling a prank that left your girlfriend in tears.

"I'm not leaving. I'm never leaving."

She dropped her forehead onto yours and squeezed her eyes shut.

"Why'd you say you were then?"

You took a deep breath and said, "It was a prank."

Her eyes went wide before they filled with a look of sadness.

"Why would you prank me like that? That was mean! I thought you were really leaving!" She scoffed and tried to stand up, but she didn't make it very far before you were wrapping your arms around her and leading her back to bed.

She tried not to laugh as you tickled her sides and she tried not to let it show that she was actually a little relieved that it was only a prank.

She fell onto the bed and you hovered over her. She pushed at your shoulders and turned her face when you tried to kiss her.

"No. I'm mad at you!"

"I know, baby. I'm so sorry."

"You really hurt my feelings! You really frightened me, y/n. I thought you were serious." She pouted as she looked back at you.

You leaned down to kiss her and you were happy when she let you do so.

"I'm sorry, my love. I never meant to hurt your feelings. I don't know what I was thinking but I know that I'm so very sorry and I'll never do it again."

She nodded her head slowly and let you kiss her one last time before your forehead fell onto her own.

"I really love you, y/n. Please never leave me."

"Never, Jisoo." You spoke, kissing her forehead lingeringly. "I'll never leave you. I love you too much to ever do that."
