Chapter 38

Luke's P.O.V. A few days later

"Lilly! come quick!" I scream with excitement up the stairs
"I to ask you something!"

My stomach is full of butterflies. All because this is the day. This is day I will ask Lilly.

Lilly's P.O.V.

I'm standing in the bathroom and Luke calls me down stairs. I walk down the stairs in my denim shorts and his T-shirt.

"Sit down baby." He tells me pointing to the couch and I do as he says.

"Lilly. I have never felt this way about anyone before. You make me feel warm and fuzzy." Is he doing what I think he is.
"Lilly I really like you and I never want to lose you." Holy shit he is! He bends down onto one knee and my eyes start to well up with tears of joy.
"Lilly Rise Irwin" Oh my holy shit. He pulls out a little black box from under the table.
"Will you marry me." I feel faint. He has opened the box. It's beautiful. Suddenly my throat goes dry and I can't speak.
"Yes you awkward penguin!" I squeal and kiss him. He takes the ring out of the box and puts it on my finger.

"Luke I have something to tell you."
"What?" He send so excited so I have to tell him. I pull it out of my pocket and show him.
"Double line." I say. He looks speechless.
"Baby this is... this is tremendous!" He kisses me like it was the first time over a year ago.
"I love you lucifer."
"I love you my little flower."
"C'mon we have to announce this!"
He takes a picture of my hand and his laces together with mine on top the ring on full display.
He tweets it captioned 'she said yes!'
Straight away I get a call from Trudi.

"OMG!!!" She scream.
"You're engaged to Luke Hemmings!!"
"What!?!" I hear dad scream in the background.
"I know right!!"
"You stole him from me!" she fake cries. Dad takes the phone from her.
"Are you ok Lilly!" He sounds worried.
"Better than ever." I squeal.
"He asked me to marry him!"
"That guy who got you pregnant... hmm.. I don't like him... where are you Lilly."
"I'm home dad. Did you not read the note."
"I did I don't understand why you left anyway."
"Dad... you wanted me to stay a little girl. I'm 17. Not 7. You have to know I'm grown up."
"I'm sorry Lilly. I'm sorry about how I acted about the baby."
"Dad I lost the baby." Luke gives me a look and I wave over at him.
"Oh Lilly I'm-"
"No dad. look I have to go. Bye."
"Bye" he hangs up.

"You're pregnant again Lilly."
"He doesn't need to know." I tell him before starting to kiss.
Ten minutes later I hear a car outside. It's the guys.
"Well let us see it!"
I show them my finger and we talk for ages.

That night falling asleep I feel safer than I ever have in Luke's arms.
