Emma's POV

"Isn't it the perfect time to allow our lovely new friends into our weird little circle?" I asked.

Rebecca and Jen looked at me and smiled. Luke was talking to Calum and had his arm around Rebecca's waist, while Calum was standing behind Jen with his arms around her.

"I think so," Ash said.

I immediately blushed and leaned into him as he wrapped an arm around my waist. The past few weeks we've been getting increasingly close to each other, but neither of us have made any move towards becoming more than best friends. I think we're both just nervous about how much our relationship could change, but now I've got all three girls getting on me about dating him.

"Come on," he whispered, pulling me down the hill and closer to the water. I happily went along with it, and I sat next to him when we reached our favorite spot. "So, you're okay now?"

"What do you mean?"

"You don't miss Alex at all?"

"I haven't missed him since the carnival, Ash. Maybe even before that, and I have you to thank for that."

"Me?"

"It's easy to forget about someone when you have someone even better next to you. Someone that makes you happy all of the time and not just some of the time."

He turned to look at me with a wide grin on his face. "I'm really glad to be of service to you."

I laughed and leaned into him further.

"Guys, you have to hear this," Michael said.

I jumped up and ran with Ashton and Michael back to where everyone was. I stood next to Sam and she smiled and wrapped an arm around me. She nodded towards Rebecca and Jen and I looked at them. My eyes widened as I finally realized they were singing. They were amazing! An acoustic version of Habits has never sounded better. I looked at Sam and she smiled, knowing exactly what I wanted.

We joined in, getting closer to them and they were probably just as surprised to hear us as we were to hear them. Damn, did it sound cool. We stopped and the boys cheered, thoroughly impressed.

"I think we need to change up our future a little bit," Calum said, wrapping an arm around Jen.

"I agree," Sam smiled.

"What are you talking about?" Rebecca asked.

"The boys are obviously going to become famous, and we're going to be their opening act. So, I think you guys should join in," I explained.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah!"

"Our voices are awesome separately, but together?"

"They're killer," I finished for Sam.

"So what do you say?"

"I'm in," Jen said.

We looked at Rebecca. "Absolutely."

"I think we should hear some more," Ash said.

"Yes, please?" Michael begged.

"Sure, but first, lets go to the gazebo because we have better acoustics there," Sam said. She played it cool, but she was definitely excited about this. She grabbed one of Michael's guitars and then we all sat down on the wood floor.

"Requests?" Rebecca asked.

"Teenage Dream!" the boys shouted.

We laughed, and Michael took the guitar from Sam. It was actually one of the best nights we've ever had out there, and I don't think there will ever be another like it. We were all happy and excited, and everyone was singing at some point. This could work. We could actually make this happen.

So this is obviously one of the shorter chapters, but I haven't updated in a while and I figured it was about time. I promise this isn't over, but I can't wait for the ending.
