"Bokuto-san?"
I repeated as my voice echoed through the empty and cold apartment. His clothes and belongings were missing.
He must have left, perhaps something urgent came up? I mean he hadn't been in contact with his work or his other friends.
"Knock knock knock knock!"
This time the knocking was almost deafening. The blaring sound of the knocking was driving me insane. Seeing no sign of Bokuto in my apartment, I forced myself out of the bed sheets and crept towards the door, holding onto Bokuto's old jacket that he had left on kitchen counter.
'creeeeek'
The door opened.
His jacket falling out of my grip, my hands fell to my side. My eyes were still a blur since I was woken so suddenly, but I was sure that what I was seeing was no mistake.
It was her.
Her brown locks had been drenched by the rain pattering outside so vigorously. Rain dripped from her coat as she stood there gazing into my apartment. She seemed to be in a shocked state of mind. Her eyes were a blood shot red and her complection seemed a pale white. This wasn't the way I remembered her. She was beautiful there was no doubt about that. I remember her shoulder length hair cupped behind her ears. Her gentle hands that would caress Bokuto's face. Her delicate figure.
She looked like a completely different person but it was definitely her. Her eyes were filled with tears as she raised her small face to look up.
Why was she crying?
"Well aren't you going to let me in!"
Not knowing how to respond I gestured my hands towards my apartment door and kindly led her to my room.
Why was she here?
I could here the rain hitting my window as the red and yellow street lights seeped into my room covering my apartment floor. The shades of red reflected into my white bedsheets. It was dark, but there was just enough light peering through my curtains to see where I was going.
She slumped onto my chair that leaned against my window.
The rain was intense. The pattering kept getting louder and louder."What's wrong?
Is there something I can help you with?"
"Your Bokuto's girlfriend, aren't you?".It was quiet.
My mind was scattered. It was silent. She hadn't said a word since she entered the apartment.
"....I was..."
'I was?' what did she mean by that?
Her tears fell down her cheeks uncontrollably. As much as I despised her, I was deeply concerned.
She seemed so troubled.
Her eyes were locked to the old jacket that I held onto.
"He gave you that?"
She mumbled as she wiped her tears away and tucked her wet hair behind her ears. Her face was much more visible now.
