I stared into the bathroom mirror as I twisted my hair up and secured it with a claw clip. Dad and the team were in the meeting room, trying to find anything on Ultron. Fortunately, my arm healed overnight, thanks to Super Soldier healing. I was still a bit surprised after the whole killer robot thing, but I guess that's just what happens when you live with the Avengers.
I left my bathroom to enter my bedroom, where I grabbed the Coney Island ring from my jewelry box to slip it on my finger. I made my way out to the kitchen where I brewed myself a cup of tea. Shards of shattered glass were still scattered across the floor since we didn't have enough time to clean up last night.
Sitting at the kitchen island with my tea in front of me, I rested my cheek against my knuckle. Out of boredom, I gently pressed my fingers against the side of my white mug and sent a very soft vibration to the ceramic cup. I looked down inside the mug, watching the little ripples form in the tea. I've been trying to figure out my powers, mainly how to control them. If I could make ripples in tea with just the gentlest touch, God knows what damage I could do if I tried. I'm already a monster because of what I could do with a chakram, I don't want to be more of a monster because of what I could do with these powers.
I heard the sound of someone walking into the kitchen and instantly pulled my hand away from the mug. I looked up to see that the person entering was Dad.
