Elli's POV

I'm so ready for this prank.

Not gonna lie, I almost didn't sleep last night because I was extremely nervous. I just hope this turns out the way I want it to. And it will. This is going to be fun.

Right now I am standing in front of our garage waiting for Alex. He is still with Wilie. I didn't expect him to actually listen to me, but he did. I hope the two of them were able to spend some great time together.

He should be here any second now.

He poofs in next to me. "Hey", he whispers, "You ready?" I nod. After telling him to not forget to act dramatic, he goes inside. That shouldn't be too hard for him. Let's be honest here, Alex is a true drama queen.

I can kind of make out there voices. I hear them talking about rehearsing for the school dance or something. Are they playing at the school dance? I should really check out their social media pages, which obviously were created by Julie's best friend Flynn. Is anyone even surprised at that? I don't think so. Flynn is a genius.

Anyways.

I decide that this is my chance to go inside. I even walk through Alex to make it believable.

Woah.

That's a weird feeling. I didn't expect walking through a ghost to feel like anything. I thought it would feel like walking through the wind or to be more exact like walking through the air. You know? Normal walking. But it tickles , sort of. It's hard to describe, to be honest.

I don't make eye contact with anyone. They still think I can't see them and that I'm just trying to hunt some ghosts. It's quite funny. I did get a quick glance at Reggie, though. He is wearing his leather jacket again.

That's good. I really missed that jacket.

Reggie is my leather jacket boy after all.

"Hey, Julie. Remember those orbs in Dad's pictures? I... I think they're ghosts", I take a look around while continuing, "But don't worry. This room is... is... This room is clean. I'm not getting the ghost tingles."

Luke seems to find my choice of words amusing.

Reggie on the other hand just looks confused.

But then he starts smiling. God that damn smile. Butterflies errupt in my stomach. How does he do that? How do I stop this feeling? Do I even want this feeling to stop?

He chuckles saying "Wrong again, little girl". Luke's smile grows even wider as he is looking at Reggie now.

Little girl? Little girl?! I guess I was right. He really just sees me as Julie's little sister, doesn't he?

And what does he mean with again? Is that because of the hideous thing?

I mean... at least he's confident.

This was supposed to be fun... It doesn't feel like that anymore. But I still decide to go on with my plan. It's just too good to not do it.

I point my finger to the room while saying "Have no fear. If they come back, I will protect you, because as your sister that is what I am supposed to do."

Julie looks at me "Isn't that what Dad is supposed to do?". Don't ruin this for me Julie. I've come up with a strict dialogue that I'm following. I'm not as spontanous as other people. I think we all know, as I've mentioned before, I'm extremely bad at improvising.

So, I tell her "That can be done by two people". Everyone chuckles.

Everyone but Reggie.

Did I say something wrong? Did I do something wrong? Is this a touchy topic for him?

I'm so sorry.

"Dad needs all the help he can get, right?", I finish my statement. Julie chuckles, again.

That's when I pull out the salt "According to the Internet, salt burn their souls out" All their smiles disappear. Alex is either surprisingly good at acting or he just forgot this is a prank. I'm hoping on the first one. I honestly thought he would give this whole thing away.

Holding the salt in the air, I continue "A little sprinkle will keep them from ever coming in here."

I wish I was able to know what it is Reggie is thinking right now.

Then I throw the salt at them.

First at Reggie, who is sitting on a stool. He gets out of the way just in time to not get hit. He is hugging his guitar very closely. Honestly, one might think he thinks his life depends on it. Oh wait. He probably does think that.

Not gonna lie, what I am seeing right now is just too cute.

I love Reggie.

I mean not love love. More like I love seeing him be this cute- like- like-

Shit.

Moving on.

I was hoping to not hit him, just like I am hoping to not actually hit Luke with the salt in order to make Alex's reaction more believable or scaring.

Luke is also able to get out of the way in time. He raises his legs, so it doesn't hit them.

Just like we've planned, Alex actually gets hit by the salt. He yells out.

"No! Oh God, I'm..." dramatic? Just kidding. Maybe. He looks at his hands. He's is really good at this. Again, I didn't at all expect him to be this good.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. Totally fine", he says with his smile reappearing on his face.

Julie coughs while giving Flynn a look. She comes up with an excuse to get me out of there.

That's what I call a loyal friend.

I gladly take the opportunity to leave, so I can do some thinking.

I need to find a way to make Reggie see me as something else than just Julie's little sister.

But how?

---

Hey there!

That's all I have t say, I think...
