Don't be bemused;
It's just the news!

Two more days until the academy officially opens. Once it does, students will have to pass through the test set for them before even going in. The test, as we've been told, is there just to make sure that students are actually capable of what's about to hit them.

I hope the students know and are ready for everything this academy is going to send them!

“You're going?!

Marinette glanced back at her mother, biting her lower lip in guilt as she held on to her bag. “Yeah, he convinced me to go. I want to learn more about the powers I have.” She gave a little shrug at the end of her sentence as if that was going to make her mother better.

“Okay, but—” Sabine Dupain-Cheng walked up to her daughter and placed a hand on her shoulder with a troubled look. "Promise me one thing, Marinette.”

“What is it?”

“Don't change!” The woman looked serious as she spoke. “Or at least, if you're going to change, do it for the better. I know some people who shortly turned ignorant and arrogant as soon as they received their abilities. It's what happens with all these people. They always feel like they're on top of the world.

“In fact, not only do we need a superhero to protect us from these horrendous villains, but a real superhero would be one able to teach the whole land a lesson. A lesson that will actually stick to their heads this time and get them to change up their attitudes. I don't care at all about the villains here. Why care about them when we have bigger villains everywhere we look?”

Marinette could see the pain and discomfort in her mother's eyes and as the woman spoke, she tried to suck in back her tears as adequately as she could, her emotional side showing itself. “Don't worry, Maman!” She reached in and pulled her mother into a tight, soothing hug. “I won't change. I promise.”

Sabine nodded her head, then watched as her daughter walked out of the door, her backpack in hand. She knew if Marinette was to ever make it to the academy, seeing each other would become more difficult.

Parents and other adults had already been notified of how the academy would work, and now they were still setting up the site, which was almost done, in which the children would go to and read all the information about how the academy was going to run for them. Heroes Academy was like college, and to be honest, Sabine wasn't sure how she was really feeling about it.

Once stepped outside, the first thing her bluebell eyes landed on was the huge white limo that was parked right in front of her bakery. The window rolled down and a certain blonde revealed her face, which looked exceedingly delighted and bubbly, more than usual, actually.

Chloe Bourgeois was waving her hand towards the girl, before motioning for her to come over. It surprised Marinette to the core, even thought about running off as it could be a trap, but soon, she found herself strolling towards it, as if her feet were walking on their own.

“Hey, Chloe—”

“Listen,” Chloe instantly cut in as her face altered all of a sudden. “It's pretty crazy that I'm here to pick you up, after all, the school is like two minutes away from your bakery, but the reason is that I. . .I want to start all over again —between you and me— because the way I treated you before wasn't it, especially with me accusing you of having no abilities. That was wrong, and I'm sure you must hate me for it. But I'm not really like that. Scratch out all the rumours you've heard about me, none of them are true anyways. Basically, what I'm trying to say is. . . I want to try again and perhaps in the end, we could be friends.”
