ROCK/STONE GOLEMS WERE PRACTICALLY considered the strongest animal form in the land. Nobody could exactly think of anything else that could beat it.

An Ox also gave the power of Super-Strength, but if an Ox and a Stone Golem were to get into a fight, the Stone Golem was most likely to win. Which is why Marinette was a little surprised when she managed to come across a Golem. Just like she’d expected, the gigantic built monster was running forward. They weren’t considered the fastest, or even that fast at all, but just their strength was enough to astonish people.

Already the Golem Marinette had landed on had crushed down three robots. It seemed as if it was unbeatable, and the best part was that the Golem was too focused on beating robots up to even notice the girl sitting on his shoulder. Marinette was only the size of the monster’s hand, maybe even smaller than its palms.

There were different types of Golems as well, such as the Water/Ice and the Mud. Those were the only types Marinette knew so far, though she’d never met them. This was her first time meeting a Golem, especially up close.

Anxious she was going to be found out, Marinette went to the back of the beast and hung on as best as she could, not trying to fall as that would be the end of that. She believed in this way only could she really make it to the other side. Already multiple whistles had been blown, signalling the amount of people that had already made it.

It was then that something whooshed past her in an instant, as if it was air, though it felt different. Marinette peeked out from the back of the Golem, seeing the visible different type of wind that had just went by her. Next up, another girl went past Marinette. A girl who was rollerblading in the fastest speed ever. Marinette would consider her the fastest person ever in this land if it wasn't for one of the current superheroes, Flash, who was known for his speed. None of the robots could catch the girl and the flying wind nor use their lasers on them either as they were too slow.

A grin made its way up to Marinette’s face anyway seeing how close she was now to the flag. Things almost went wrong when a robot shot lasers towards her and she barely managed to hang on, her fingers slowly slipping from the Golem she was hanging on to.

No, no, no.

If she fell now, how else was she supposed to make her way to the flag? This was the only way yet, and if her plan messed up, then so would her chance of getting inside the academy. Just a little bit more. Hang on, Marinette. Hang on. Hang o—

Dang it!

Marinette’s body slammed against the ground, the Golem running off without her. She groaned in pain and in frustration. Not only did her fingers sweat, but so did the rest of her body. There were scratch marks on her hands and they’d turned red as well for hanging for so long. It was like hanging on from a cliff, hoping with all your heart that you wouldn’t fall off.

The girl slowly made her way up, standing on her two feet but could barely run anymore due to her lack of energy and how her legs could no longer run. All she could do was walk slowly now while stumbling. And then she fell again, landing on her knees, tears already threatening to fall.

I'm sorry, Maman. . . and Papa. I couldn't make it— Even if I have powers now, I still feel so powerless—

Get up!

Marinette blinked rapidly at the new voice beside her. She didn't even get to fully see the face because someone had grabbed her arms and lifted her body up from the ground.
