But you're also a failure!

Marinette spent half of that night crying, trying to fall asleep, yet couldn't. She'd fully understood what she had done and said over at lunch, yet what she still didn't get was how it'd happened. Did someone possess her or something? She'd acted so different and cold. She'd acted the exact way powerful people would whenever they saw a powerless person. She'd acted the opposite of what she stood for.

And now, she hated herself for it.

Releasing the fact that Juleka and Rose were dating though it wasn't even her place to tell. Spilling out Lena's secret even after she'd made a promise not to. Reminding Chloe about her horrible past of being unable to make proper friends who actually liked her for who she was. And then causing everyone else to see her as a cold and heartless monster, who didn't care about anyone's feelings. Even Alya was so unwilling to speak to her now.

Kagami Tsurugi, who stood by her opened door, stared at the back of the crying female, having been curious by who was making the sad sniffles — now she knew. Taking a deep breath, the short-haired female stepped inside the room. She opened her mouth to say something, though instantly shutting it again, deciding to get closer.

Marinette had probably heard her walk in, but didn't even bother to turn her head and see who it was, as if she wasn't afraid that it could be someone who most likely wanted to hurt her.

“H—Hey?” She finally managed to speak after she got in front of the crying girl and sat down on the floor, staring at her face with all the tears dripping down. She knew the reason why, after all, she'd also been there when Marinette had bad-mouthed those she believed were her friends. She'd even heard Chloe telling her off when Marinette had tried to talk to her. It wasn't like Kagami was on her side at all, but she never liked to walk past people who were feeling weakened and upset over something.

“What did I do wrong? How could someone do this to me? I was obviously framed!” Marinette blurted out, eyes facing the floor. She'd clenched her hands now, so she wasn't just feeling upset. She felt mad that someone had done this to her, and somehow, successfully managed to turn everyone against her.

“I haven't done anything wrong to anyone. It's not like I ever said something bad to someone, or hurt someone. The reason why I'd even come here in the first place was to prevent that from happening on the outside. Why then would I be doing something I am so against?!”

“So, you really believe you were framed?” Kagami raised her eyebrows a bit. She watched as Marinette bobbed her head up and down to form a nod, before sniffing again as she covered her face, looking away. “Okay, well then. . . who was the last person you met up with before you. . . I don't know. . . got your body taken over by some evil possessing devil?”

Marinette breathed out a bit, a soft chuckle escaping her lips at the choice of words Kagami had decided to use. She then turned serious not too long after that, thinking, and it didn't take long for her to remember.

“It was Lila!” She snapped her fingers together with widened eyes. “I. . . Lila must have done something to me. I remember her kissing my cheeks and that was when I'd . . . I don't know, fell unconscious. But, I definitely remember it'd been Lila, calling me over to her room to talk to me about something.”

Kagami stared at her for what seemed to be seconds, before standing up from the floor. “I'll be right back.” And with those words, she left the room, leaving Marinette confused.

Surprisingly, a minute didn't even pass before she walked back inside of the room, this time, holding onto a notebook with a pen. She placed the notebook down in front of Marinette and opened it up, flipping through the pages. Every page she flipped to had writings with no empty spaces left. Marinette swore she'd even caught her own name in that notebook and was beginning to wonder what the book was all about. Before she could get the chance to ask though, Kagami gently slammed her palm against a page. On the top had the name “LILA ROSSI!”
