The doorbell rang and the maid opened the door. "Good morning Mr Jung. How may I help you?"
Hoseok smiled and bowed back, "Is hyung home?"
The maid nodded, "He hasn't left his room all morning."
Hoseok checked his watch, "This is bad... It's 1 in the noon. I will go check on him."
As Hoseok entered the room, it was dark and gloomy. "Oh my god. This room smells like shit."
Seokjin peaked out of his blanket and groaned, "Get out. I don't want a company."
Hoseok chuckled, "That's good because I am not here to give you company. I am here to take you out of your bed." He opened the blinds and went near Seokjin. As he was about to take the blanket off, he touched Seokjin's hand and gasped. He checked his forehead, "Gosh, you are burning. You know what? Stay in the bed, I'll tell Yoongi to cancel all your meetings."
Seokjin buried the blanket again, "I thought he already did. After the disastrous blind date yesterday."
Hoseok hummed, "Was it because Namjoon said something rude?"
Seokjin pouted, "He practically lashed- Wait, aren't you supposed to be on his side? WAIT! How do you know he was there?"
Hoseok laughed nervously, "For your first question, I am your friend too. And for the second one, it might have been a set up by us, so you guys can talk."
Seokjin slumped his shoulders, "Well, it clearly didn't work out. At least Namjoon got his turn to speak."
Hoseok nodded, "Anyway, I have texted your maid to make you chicken noodle soup and some porridge. So get some rest and go to the office tomorrow. Yoongi is way too much under your files."
Seokjin grumbled a 'deserves it' but waved his hand when Hoseok glared at him. "How do you have my maid's number?"
Hoseok laughed, "Gosh. I love how your brain lags when you are sick. I told you, you are my friend too."
Seokjin made finger hearts, "Saranghae, Hobi-yah!"
Hoseok nodded, "Fine, I love you too. Now go to sleep till your lunch comes. Rest well."
Hoseok got out of the room and locked it. He greeted the maid and told her that he was going to buy some meds. As he got out of the house, he got on a call.
How is he?
Hoseok rolled his eyes, "Hello to you too, Namjoon. He is down with a fever just as you said. If you were this worried, you should have come here by yourself."
You out of all people know I can't. Just give him the meds I texted. He'll be fine by tomorrow.
Hoseok chuckled, "Sure. Anything else, your highness."
Nothing bye.
Hoseok sighed, "Brat. At least could've said thank you."
Seokjin looked at Hoseok as he completed the lunch and sighed, "Why are you here."
Hoseok showed him three on his finger, "I am telling you this third time. Because you are my friend too."
Seokjin chuckled, "All these years where was that friend?"
Hoseok sighed and looked away, "You are really going to do this to me?" He looked at Seokjin again, "I am sorry. I was too hard on you all these years. I can't apologise enough. I am sure you must have had your reason. Which, I am still mad at Yoongi for not telling me."
Seokjin chuckled and held Hoseok's hand, "I assure you that it was for their safety."
Hoseok gasped, "What do you mean by their safety?"
Seokjin cleared his throat, "Promise me you won't tell this to Namjoon or Eunha. I want to be the one to tell them."

Namjoon was sitting in the college cafeteria waiting for his editor when a girl came and sat in front of him. "Professor Kim, I am sorry for sitting without permission, but it's about my thesis."
Namjoon nodded, "Go ahead."
The girl bowed and opened her laptop, "My name is Kim Sojung and I am writing a thesis on political development through the history of Korea."
Namjoon smiled, "Wow, that's amazing. How can I help you?"
Sojung gulped, "I want you to be my mentor."
Namjoon gave a curt nod, "Sojung-shi. I will give you advice. You should ask your history professor to do this job. It will get better attention. I will talk to Professor Go. Turns out he is my fan. He will give you extra attention."
Sojung nodded and stood up. She bowed and went away. Rose followed quickly and sat on the chair, "You are very popular, oppa!"
Namjoon shook his head, "She clearly didn't come for her thesis."
Rose laughed and nodded, "I know. Also, I talked to the CEO. We are promoting your book from tomorrow and this is the idea for it."
Namjoon took the file and scanned through it quickly, "I like it."
Rose took the file, "You didn't even read it properly."
Namjoon raised his eyebrows, "I am a writer, I can read that fast. I agree with the strategy, but why anchor any actors to play the protagonist on the billboard? It will dent their image."
Rose leaned towards Namjoon, "You don't have to worry about it. They actually volunteered and it will go on their portfolio. This will show that they are ready to risk their image for their work. It's a good thing."
Namjoon nodded, "Okay, cool. Go with it."
Rose stood and took her coffee, "Thank you for the coffee."
Namjoon saw her as she left in speed, "Yah! Pay for it. Brat!"
~
The phone rang really loudly and Namjoon squinted through the burning sun that came into his room. He grunted and looked at his phone, but he couldn't see the name because he wasn't wearing any glasses. He picked up anyway. "Hello?"
Oppa! Wake up!
Namjoon took the phone away from his ears, "Ah. Rose, stop shouting."
There is no time. There is a problem. Open news.
Namjoon, "Aish. Calm down. I am doing it."
He cut the call and went out. Eunha greeted him with a big smile, "Good morning dad. I made a British breakfast."
Namjoon waved at her, still sleepy and confused. He took the remote and opened the TV and skipped to the news channel.
If he was not awake before. Now he was.
Fun fact: I was suspected to have covid and my family quarantined me. I thought I would write too many chapters while I'm in quarantine, but Netflix distracted me.
So blame it on Netflix
