Chapter 14

"Why would you say something like that?" - Skye Lacey

"Right before he died I said it" - Lily Shoemaker

Episode 5

Skye's POV

We walk into the funeral. There is a picture of Steven Shoemaker on the desk. The attendees are all men in black suits and women in black dresses, including me but not Dean and Sam.

"Feel like we're underdressed." Dean says. "I told you too but do you like to listen? No." I say. We keep walking through the house towards the back. I walk over to a man. "Excuse me. Do you happen to know where Lily and Donna Shoemaker are? We would like to pay our respects." I say. The man points us towards the girls.

I nod a thanks and we head outside and find them with their friends. "You must be Donna, right?" Dean asks a girl with short black hair. "Yeah." She says. "Hi, uh-we're really sorry." Sam says. "Thank you." She says. "I'm Sam, this is Skye, and Dean. We worked with your father." Sam says.

Donna looks at her friends than back at us. "You did?" She asks. "Yeah. This whole thing. I mean, a stroke." I say. "I don't think she really wants to talk about this right now." Donna's friend says. "It's okay. I'm okay." She says.

"Were there any symptoms? Dizziness?" Dean asks. "No." Donna says. A girl turns around. "That's because it wasn't a stroke."She says. "Lily, don't say that." Donna says. "What?" I ask. "I'm sorry, she's just upset." Donna says. "No, it happened because of me." Lily says.

"Sweetie, it didn't." Donna say. I get down on eye level with Lily. "Why would you say something like that?" I ask. "Right before he died. I said it." She says. I furrow my eyebrows. "You said what?" I ask. "Bloody Mary, three times in the bathroom mirror."

A pause.

"She took hiseyes, that's what she does." Lily says. "That's not why Dad died. This isn't your fault." Donna says. "I think your sister's right,Lily." I say. Dean kneels down beside me. "There's no way it couldhave been Bloody Mary. Your dad didn't say it, did he?" Dean asks."No, I don't think so." She says.
