I knew he had gotten the paper from my room, the draws open and random sheets laying scattered across the floor. What had gotten into him? Why did he feel like it was okay to throw my things about especially art supplies that weren't exactly cheap. Huffing as I pick up the pieces of paper and broken art pencils that have also been chucked on to the floor. The lead tips completely snapped off as I sit into the chair behind my desk. Opening my laptop up, I type my password in and wait for the home screen to load. Happy to see it intact and not tampered with, I pull my phone from pocket and dial Mike's number.

"Hey"

His voice hesitant like I had caught at a bad time.

"Hey. Sorry I couldn't answer your calls I was just talking to Robbie. He's-well acting out abit. I don't really know what to-"

I hear a voice in Mikes background not too sure who it is as Mike mutes the phone cutting me off from their conversation. Never haven done that to me before I feel slightly out of place as I wait to hear his voice again but it never returns. Fifteen minutes go by when I decide to hang up figuring that he probably forgot that I was still on the other end. Scrolling down I read a text message that I didn't see come through from Cameron.

'Cameron: Hey I had a really good time tonight and I hope you did too. I won't be able to drop you off home tomorrow after school as I have to go to a late organized band practice session. But I can still pick you up in the morning, have a good night Katie P.S I kind of regret not kissing you in Mr Efferson's class today x'

Holy Shit balls. He wanted to kiss me. Cameron actually wanted to kiss me, still not believing the text message he had sent that I was currently rereading over and over again, now knowing how the waitress must have felt tonight. Pulling my phone to my chest leaning further back into my chair, looking at my laptop as a slight reflection casts on it as something moves behind me. Swerving around quickly into the direction of my bed nothing seeming out of the ordinary.

Just as I am about to turn back to my laptop and pull out my course work, the bathroom light flickers on in the distance. A fly must have gotten in somehow triggering the motion sensitive lights. Not hearing any buzzing sounds, taking one hesitant step at a time walking over to the bathroom. My heart beating a lot faster than usual as I stare inside, the light blinking as hot water is pouring quietly from the tap. Steam fogs the entire mirror as I cover my mouth and read the huge letters coating from top to bottom.

'L E A V E '

Not finding this funny anymore as I move backwards but bump into something hard. Fuck. Not wanting to turn around as tears start to run down my face. He couldn't be real could he? Not being able to control my body as it shakes turning around slowly expecting someone to be there. But again there was nothing there. Swearing I had felt something hard pressed against my back, I walk backwards my eyes still on the open doorway as I reach out blindly for the tap switching off the hot running water.

He wasn't real. He was made up like the million other people Robbie had created over the years. Why was I so scared? There was nobody here.

"Fuck you William."

Whispering it loud enough that there was a slight echo in the room.
