I feel my bed dip suddenly as I am typing away on my laptop and listening to Catfish and the Bottlemen on my iPod. William lays on the other side of the bed from me, the back of his head sinking into the pillows as he closes his eyes. Now wearing a black shirt and a pair of sweatpants. His skin seeming a slightly different shade of colour than normal.

"Sure, feel free to lie down on my bed why don't you... I don't mind at all."

Shaking my head when I continue finishing the work I was emailed and sent through from the school's computer system by Mr Efferson after apologizing for not attending his class.

"Thanks."

Taking one of my ear buds out so I can hear him better, his voice sounding off.

"I was being sarcastic. I need to go to bed soon so you'll have to move shortly."

Saving my work, I fold my laptop screen down and place it on to the floor not wanting it to fall and break when I lay back into bed on my side looking over at William who just ignores me until I prod him with my finger.

"Yes?"

The skin around his eyes scrunching up a little bit when he moves a little.

"What's going on your not being your usual asshole self?"

A short laugh and snort escaping him.

"I'm just- tired is all."

Could Ghosts get sick? Shadows drooping under his eyelids. Not really wanting to worry about him but my better caring side winning.

Hesitating I rest my palm on his forehead causing his eyes to open. The coldness of his skin making me shiver, goosebumps prickling up my arms.

"You're freezing."

He moves my hand away ignoring me when he tries to get up but cannot when I grab a handful of the material of his shirt causing him to quickly turn his head to the side. I could see the annoyance I was causing him.

"Sorry."

Letting go of his shirt. The muscles in his arms bulging as they strain when he lifts himself fully off from the bed.

"Are you sick? Do you need...Is there anything I can get you?"

"No."

Waving me off as he walks down the stairs but stops when I hear mum's voice.

"William. Good, your still here."

How long had he been here? Listening to their conversation when he walks back up the steps into my room with mum following behind.

"I just phoned up about the camera you had mentioned. They are coming over to fix first thing Sunday morning. Can't believe them bloody birds. Honestly who would have thought they would try eating the wiring of all things."

Watching him sit down in the chair. His body leaning slightly to one side.

"What happened to one of the Cameras?"

Sliding my glasses off and cleaning them with the bottom of my shirt.

"Oh nothing serious just some birds had pecked through the wiring cutting straight through it. Pesky things they are. William noticed it when I let him in through the back door."

She smiles at him which he briefly returns back. The room goes silent when William closes his eyes, mum's face softening finding it cute. Rolling my eyes when her eyes flick between me and William.

"Mum."

Knowing where her mind was going but keeping quiet about it.

"Is Cameron okay? He didn't seem like himself this morning."

Why now? Expecting William to say a nasty remark about him but he continues to sit still unmoving.

"Yeah-We- We broke up."

"I'm sorry sweety. He was such a nice boy as well."

Her arms wrap around me squeezing me tightly.

"You know what. This calls for a sundae."

She pulls backwards from me when loud footsteps run up my stairs.

"Ice cream!"

Robbie shouts leaping on to my bed and bouncing on it. It being obvious he was listening into our conversation from the bottom of the stairs.

"Come on little man, lets go and make them."

Robbie jumps from the bed within seconds he has disappeared out of the room and now shouting from down in the kitchen.

"You do realize it's past nine right now."

It now pitch-black outside.

"Katie. I don't have to tell you that in my household chocolate and ice cream can be eaten at any time. Don't rain on the parade. You will eat the sundae and you will enjoy it."

Pointing a finger at me giving me her best serious look. Which only makes me smile and causes her to break out of character. Pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead, she stares down at me. Her fingers moving my hair back behind my ear.

"It will get better. He obviously wasn't the one if he let my beautiful girl go."

Staying quiet, her footsteps travelling along my wooden floor and down the steps. Not wanting to think about Cameron as I push him from my mind. My door clicks shut when I look at William who is still sat in the chair like before, his body not moving.

"William?"
