Jane had no clue why the new girl hated her. Although, to be fair, the new girl seemed to hate everything. And right now, Jane hated everything as well.
"WHAT?!" she screamed. "A DATE?!"
"Yes, honey, a date." her mother said in her "I'm bored with you voice" that was special for Jane.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS WITHOUT TELLING ME?! I THOUGHT WE TOLD EACH OTHER ABOUT BIG THINGS LIKE THIS! AND WHAT ABOUT DAD? HAVE YOU TOLD HIM?!"
"Now, you know your father and I aren't talking."
Jane glared at her mom.
"Let me guess, the guy is some rich businessman?"
"Well, he certainly has potential to be promoted soon-"
"AH HA! THAT'S WHY YOU'RE DOING IT!" she exclaimed. "YOU-YOU SQUID-BRAIN! FROG FACED BLOB OF CAMEL SPIT!"
It wasn't until she was in her bedroom with the door locked she realized her mother didn't understand Wings of Fire insults.
Kinda a crappy chapter, sry.
