Together Again

Up sat in the cafeteria during his break. It wasn't quite lunch time so it was pretty much empty. He sat picking at a salad that was in front of him. He pushed aside a bit of tomato and stabbed some cucumber with his fork, he lifted it and ate it.

There was a loud bang and Up jumped to face the door it came from. Just some stupid Esigns wanting to get to lunch early. They ran over to the buffet style lunch and began to put food on their plates. He turned back to his food. They weren't the people he wanted to see come through the doors, well, they weren't the person.

Up had spent the morning working out and doing paperwork. But all he wanted to do was hang out with his girlfriend. It wasn't as fun working out without her.

Taz had been sent on a mission about 3 weeks before. It was her first mission without him as her commander. He didn't like it, he wasn't there to protect her, not that she needed protecting. She just needed the occasional reminder not to do something stupid and get herself killed. He sighed then picked up his tray and walked over to the bin. He put the uneaten food into the rubbish, placed the tray on top then headed out of the cafeteria.

He walked around the ship aimlessly as he had nothing else to do for the day. He was ahead on all his paper work and he had no classes to teach. He eneded up walking back to his room. He put in his code, opened the door and walked in. He walked over to his bed and sits down, looking around his room, Up sighed. He let himself fall onto his back and he closed his eyes. 'What if she wasn't coming back?' He thought. He shook those thoughts out and closed his eyes. He needed a good nap.

Up awoke when he felt a small pressure on his back. He opened his eyes slowly and looked to his left. There he saw Taz, sitting on the edge of the bed rubbing her hand on his back, she gave him a soft smile.

"Buenos días," She said.

Up sat up quickly and pulled her into his arms and hugged her tight.

"Fuck I've missed you." He told her. She laughed and hugged him back.

"I've missed you too." Her eyes were sparkling when Up looked into him.

Up pulled her close and kissed her. She smiled and kisses him back.

They were finally together again.
