~ALEX'S POV~
I've been driving around trying to clear my head since I left Amber's house.
Trying, and desperately failing I should add, to not think about what Lexi and Jordan were going to do on this little road trip they were going on.
They were most likely going to the beach. That was where Jordan liked to take his conquests.
A conquest.
That's what she was to him.
A point that needed to be made.
A pawn in his game.
My jaw clenched at the thought of his hands on her.
No one to blame but yourself Alex.
That annoying voice in my head never let me forget it.
I drove by her house for the fourth time in the past twenty minutes to see his car still parked on the curb.
I glanced at my watch noticing it was almost 10 am.
I've been up since eight. I headed straight to Lexi's when I found my bed empty this morning not even bothering to have breakfast.
On cue, my stomach rumbled. I sighed deciding to grab a bite at a nearby cafe to pass some time instead of being a creepy stalker.
As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed a familiar car. Lexi's friend Parker's. I haven't seen him since Amber was straddling his lap at that party, no doubt in an attempt to make me jealous. She probably ambushed him too because from the looks of it he was trying his best to push her off.
I was grateful at that time for her little stunt. It distracted Lexi enough that she didn't notice what I was actually trying to prevent her from witnessing in that kitchen. Jordan was dry humping some chick in the corner while Lexi waited for him. My blood boiled at the memory.
"You didn't say anything about cheating," he pointed out smiling at me tauntingly.
That's what he said to me when I confronted him after I caught him the first time.
He was right.
This is all my fault.
I shook those thoughts from my head, stepping into the small cafe. The cool air that greeted me immediately calmed me. My eyes scanned the area finding Parker and Mia in a corner booth. I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go and a coffee before walking up to them.
Mia noticed me first, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. I smiled as I sat across from them uncomfortably. By the noticeable space between them and the tension in the air, they haven't gotten over the whole Amber situation. I need to do this. I need to clear my guilty conscience and fix their relationship. It was the least I could do.
