You missed Draco. Yes, you were in love with him, but he also was your only friend, as pathetic as it sounded. He was the only person who really understood you, and the only person you felt like you could talk to.

Now, you had no one.

It was as if Draco didn't have time for you anymore. These days, he spent all his time with Astoria. You couldn't even remember the last time you had a conversation with him.

Every time him and Astoria were around you, it seemed as though Draco was trying to get you to look at them, almost like he was rubbing it in your face that you weren't the one he loved. You were confused as to why the fuck he even cared whether or not you noticed him acting all lovey-dovey with Astoria.

Your grandfather had passed away a few days ago. At least, that's when you received the letter from your parents that had informed you of his death. You were heartbroken, to say the least. You were really close to him.

You were mourning, and you didn't have anyone to comfort you. Your only "friend" was busy with his new girlfriend, and your parents were miles and miles away. You were left to grieve by yourself.

It sucked, because now that you needed Draco the most, he wasn't there.

You were walking down the corridor by yourself, feeling like shit and looking as miserable as ever. You were still morbidly upset about your grandfather, and even more upset at the fact that no one was here to help you through it.

"Y/N!" You heard an all-too familiar voice call your name from behind you. Your heart sunk, and you decided to ignore him, continuing to make your way down the corridor. Maybe if you just pretended not to notice, he would go away.

"Y/N, wait up!" Draco yelled as he tried to catch up with you. He was much faster than you, so of course he was able to catch up with you. He stopped himself right in front of you, making you stop in your tracks as you avoided eye contact with him.

"What do you want, Malfoy?" You sneered. Draco flinched at the use of his last name, his face flashing with hurt for a second. You never called him Malfoy, and he was confused by your sudden hostile attitude towards him.

He quickly replaced his slightly hurt expression with a kind smile. "I just wanted to see how you're doing. It feels like we haven't talked in forever."

You scoffed at the irony. "Yeah, and who's fault is that?"

"What's up with you?" He furrowed his brows. You rolled your eyes and opened your mouth to reply.

But before you could speak, you heard Professor McGonagall's voice call your name, "Miss Y/L/N."

You turned your head and saw her approaching you.
