Pure Blooded (rewritten)

Chapter 5

They were fast and I have no idea where they went but I am sure they will be in the city. As I reach the city, there was a massive crowd of people running around. As I try to walk, someone pushes me making me stumble to the side. Babies were crying and Children were holding onto their mothers. Stalls were toppled onto the floor and smoke fills the air above. I make my way through as fast as possible but was stopped by a woman.

"You can't go there!" The Woman grabs my shirt tightly.

"What's happening?" I go closer to her and she loosens her grip on my shirt.

"His destroying this city! You have to leave" She says worriedly and I look back, hearing screaming.

"Don't worry. I will take care of this" I assure her and made my way further into the crowds. People kept pushing me making it slower and harder to find Willam and the rest. I finally come into an open area and I look around me.

"Beth!?" I shout. "William!? Zen!?" I shout again. The noise of the people screaming is overtaking the sound of my voice. There are too many people, It will be hard to find them like this. Maybe I should-

My thoughts were soon brought out of me when I feel a tight rope wrapping around my left arm. I look up to see someone dressed all covered including the face with a cloth. I winced as he pulls my hand towards him. I hear a wiping sound on my right and dodge the rope. With all my might I pull my left arm, making him fly to the ground face flat. I quickly unwrap it around my left arm.

"I found her!" I hear a girl shout behind me. I turn around to see her running after me with a couple of other people. Who are they?

I quickly ran through the crowds hoping it will slow them down. To my surprise, they jump on the roofs trying to catch up. I hear something break and I look down to see my left shoe torn. "Great," I say sarcastically out loud. I quickly take both my shoes off and throw them to the side.

Someone grabs from behind around my neck bringing me down. I elbow him in the ribs causing him to back up and kick his face with my foot, now unconscious on the floor. The crowd scatters leaving a huge open area. More of the people who were chasing me jump down from the rooftop of the buildings. Now I am surrounded. My heart raises a little from this eerie atmosphere. I have not fight someone in such a long time.

One tries to stab me with a knife but I dodge it and kick his hand making the knife fly out of his fingers. Another grabs me from behind and another grabbed my legs together, making me struggle. They are strong but not strong enough. I growl angrily and flip the person behind me upwards. I turn my body flipping the guy grabbing my legs to the side.

"Urgh Where the hell are they?" I groan frustrated. Seriously do I have to fight alone? I turn around to only be shot in my leg with an arrow. I shout in pain. I pull it out and throw it to the ground. I look up to see a guy on the roof ready to shoot another arrow at me. He misses.

"Seriously? That hurt you know?" I frown at him and he looks at me in shock. I look down to see my wound healed completely. I bare my fangs at him and lunge at him, scratching across his face with my nails. He flys and drops to the ground groaning in pain. I lick the blood off my nails and my hand. I touch my face and felt a warm Liquid. So this is what blood tastes like. It tastes really good.

I hear shouting in the distance and I quickly jump from roof to roof. Finally, I Spot someone. "Zen!" I shout and jump to the ground. He frowns and later his face turns to worry.

"Zen Where-?" I stop when I feel his hand on my face.

"What happened? Are you hurt?" He says worriedly, looking around for wounds.

"Uh no.." I say surprised. Am I weird or is he actually worried for me?

"Oh thank God.. it's not your blood," He says with a big relief and I look at him confused but shocked at the same time. I don't know what to feel. Never seen him being nice?

"Kalee! What are you doing here and whose blood is this?" Willaim sniffs my clothes and I back away.

"Look, I know you told me not to come here but we should do this together. Also, I just fought a few men on my own." I say proudly. William pinches his head and sighs, "Alright" I jump with Joy. "So what do we have to do?"

"Kalee" I hear a soft behind me. "Beth!" I exclaim. She surprises me with a tight hug.

"Are you okay?" I ask and I notice there is now blood on her clothes. "Oh no now there is blood on your clothes" she looks down at her clothes and shakes her head. "it's okay," She says and hugs me again making me stumble back a bit. "Hey, you okay?" I ask her again and she didn't let go of me.

"We should get out of here. I have asked everyone I could to leave the city" Zen tells William.

"Okay let's leave," William says and Elizabeth lets go of the hug. I grab Elizabeth's hand and we all went out of the city together. We ran back home to only find it burned down. Who did this!?

"What the hell?" Zen says angrily

"What do we do now?" I look at William. He looked lost and shocked that his house is burned down.

"Whoever did this is only Seth. He knows where we are-" He says and takes a breath. "- We have to find another place. let's go" He says and we all follow him. We don't have anything. No food, no water but we kept walking through the fields and forests.
