I have just escaped a crazy man who was taking my blood with a bunch of other kids. We ran out of his crazy cave and made it to open air. I didn't follow them all the way, I ran my way back home to only find...
"Grandpa?" I say as I try to catch my breath. Why is he doing on the floor? "I ran and lift up his head. "Grandpa? wake up" I slap his face gently. His eyes open slowly and he turns his body revealing a wound in his stomach.
"Grandpa. you are bleeding!" I shout worriedly and quickly tore a cloth from my shirt to tie around his body, to stop the blood. He puts his hand on my arm stopping me. Tears start falling out of my eyes. "Kalee," He says weakly.
"What happened? who did this?" I wipe away my tears but they just keep coming.
"I tried to fight them off to save you-" He says and takes a breath. "- but they had the poison sword" Poison sword usually refers to the white magical wood tree and that can only be the thing that can kill us. Tears spill out uncontrollably. He reaches out and touches my face.
"I got out" I joked a little bit and he smiled weakly. I support his hand on my face and lean in his warmth. "are you really going to die?"
"I'm sorry kalee-" He takes a breath. "- You are so young-" he takes a breath again "- I hate to leave you but there is no way out." He says making my chest hurt even more.
"I love you, Grandpa" I hug him one last time before I feel his hand on my back, drop to the ground. I put his head back on the ground. I touch his arm but he doesn't move. I just sat there and cried by his side. In the quietest place, we were living in was now the only sounds of my cry.
Present-day (Age: 18)
I open my eyes only to be hit with bright light. I lift up my hand to block the light out of my eyes and got up, now sitting on my butt. I look down to see a cloth-covered over me. Where am I? and where did this cloth come from? My ears pick up the noise of footsteps. I stand up quickly and hid behind a tree. Just as the footsteps come closer and swing my hand towards the person but the person grabs my hand.
"Zen!?" I say with full relief. He lets go of my hand, leaving it cold.
"Were you going to punch me?" Zen raises an eyebrow.
"ah.. no" I lie and he raises his eyebrows higher. "Yes," I say and he laughs. "Are you that scared?"
"No, I'm not" I put my hands behind my back and walk slowly to him. He puts down a bag on the ground.
"Where did you get that?" I ask, sitting next to him.
"I found another village nearby actually-" He says and I was about to ask him if they were werewolves but he cut me off, already knowing what I wanted to ask. "- and no they are humans"
"oh" I smile
"So, they were kind enough to give you a bag of-" I pause as he takes out some cloth and food."-Cloth and food".
"yup thankfully" He puts the things back into the bag and puts it around his shoulder, and stands up.
"We are sharing that right?" I ask and stand up as well.
"Share what?" He frowns
" that" I smile and point to the bag his carrying.
He thinks for a moment and looks at me. He gives me a smile and then says "No"
"What!?" I shout feeling betrayed.
"Now now.. I got this on my own, so this is mine." He says giving me a wider smile. I clench my hand into a ball. I can just hit him right now.
