I had woken up again in the backseat of a car, yet I couldn't move my body from pain and soreness. I looked around in the car, just a driver. Yet a driver, who wore a bullet proof vest and had two handguns on his waist. Boots which went above the ankle, definitely had a knife in there. An earpiece, someone who has power over him, giving him orders perhaps. I groaned, tried to move my body, and get used to the achiness over my body.
"What the hell happened to me?" I asked, my throat still dry, "Where are Andy and Booker?"
He didn't reply, instead he turned a corner into an isolated parking lot and stopped the car. I sat up slowly and watched as he got out and open the door to my right. I squinted at the brightness outside of the car. I was pulled out by my arm, realising they had tied my hands together. Two other black cars pulled up, Andy and Booker got out. They looked in better condition than me, and Andy was shot.
The guards that were with them dragged them forward, and the guard that drove with me pulled me to follow behind everyone. Booker tried to look back at me, but I wouldn't pay attention to him. I couldn't. I felt like I would start crying, after 200 years of thinking of him as a brother, and he did this? I couldn't fathom the thought of betraying my family. We were put in the elevator and when we reached a certain floor, we were pushed past all these medical rooms and into a safe guarded one.
"Andy?" I heard a soft voice ask.
"What happened?" I heard a slightly rougher voice ask. I started quietly crying, sobbing, I need an emotion outlet after these events.
"Elizabeth! Are you alright?" Nicky said from beside me, thrusting about on the bed he was tied down in. I looked at Nicky and Joe even though they weren't quite clear due to the tears obscuring my vision. I smiled as best as I could before I was pushed down on a bed next to Booker.
"She's not healing. I killed her." Said Booker from beside me as he got harshly strapped onto the bed. I rolled my eyes, more tears finding themselves rolling down the same previous course the other tears took. I begged my eyes to stop welling up, lying down stopped my tears from falling down my face and my eyes were starting to sting.
"I need to get a line in her and stop the bleeding." I heard a female say, must be talking about Andy's bullet wound. I tried to reach my head up so I could see over Booker and look at Andy, but I didn't see much.
"Keep her alive at all costs." I didn't know who said that, but I could see him, a small man. Skinny, curly hair. The man who had the power, yet i just saw a little boy, "Don't you see? Between Sudan and now, somethings changed. Find out what."
"This will stabilize her, but I have to stitch her and give her antibiotics." Said the doctor woman. I had no idea who these people were other than the fact Copley works for them.
"All things die." Said Nicky's smooth voice. It felt to long without him.
"What was that?" asked the curly haired guy.
"Everything has to die Mr. Merrick." Nicky replied, ah so Mr. Merrick. Yeah, I still have no idea who that is, "The only reason we haven't...is that its not our time yet. If its now Andromache's, nothing you can do will stop it."
"You'll be surprised by what my products can do." He replied, trying to be all threatening. I was almost tempted to laugh, "I will carve slices off you for years to get what I want. Your time is coming."
"As is yours." I managed to croak out.
I felt eyes on me from every direction, Mr. Merrick stepped forward to look at me, but I looked at the ceiling and pushed back the few remaining tears which lingered on my lash line. I eventually looked at him, he didn't move. He looked at me carefully, then turned around and walked towards the guarded door.
