taehyung yawned rubbing his eyes as he looked up from where he was to see jungkook's sleeping face. he smiled at how cute he looked and snuggled further into him jungkook eyes opened slowly at the feeling of taehyung moving.
"good morning" jungkook says pecking taehyung's hair, "morning ggukie" taehyung whispers.
"you hungry?" jungkook asks feeling taehyung nod, jungkook gets out of bed smiling at taehyung's little whines as he walks out of the room down towards the kitchen.
jungkook quickly puts a few pieces of bread in the toaster and stretches while yawning, he hears taehyung's feet patter against the floor as he walk into the kitchen.
jungkook smiles as his eyes travel to taehyung's outfit choice, he was wearing the chiefs large jumper and some shorts.
the toast pops up and jungkook grabs them and hands them to taehyung who spreads butter over them.
"what?" taehyung asks looking at jungkook who was staring at him.
"you arent putting any spreads on your toast?" jungkook says
"what! you put spreads on yours? like what?" taehyung asks
"nutella, peanut butter, mhm jam" jungkook smiles
"you're so weird what the hell, besides the jam what weird choices" taehyung says
"okay butter man" jungkook rolls his eyes grabbing a water from the fridge
"enjoy your butter toast while I go upstairs to get changed" jungkook says chuckling as he sees taehyung roll his eyes.
after a few minutes jungkook came down wearing his uniform.
"your laptop and phone are on the coffee table and sir agreed that you do work from here for today see how you feel and if you wanna go back tomorrow you can" jungkook says pecking taehyung's cheek before leaving as he was running late.
after taehyung had finished having his toast he walked towards the lounge seeing his laptop and phone on the coffee table, he sits on the couch and opens up his laptop signing into his police account and checking his emails.
he answered a couple of emails and finished a couple of case files and before he knew it, it was already afternoon. taehyung stood up and stretched, he walked around jungkook's house looking at some of the pictures from when he was younger.
he saw a picture was under the bookshelf and quickly grabbed it to see jungkook and another girl hugging.
taehyung placed it on the bookshelf and heard the doorbell ring, he quickly rushed to the door and opened it.
"oh hi, is jungkook home?" a older women asked taehyung
"oh no sorry he is at work" taehyung says bowing to the lady who smiles
"may I ask who you are?" she asks
taehyung didnt know if he should tell her, after yesterday and what jack had said- he didnt want to get hurt again.
"w-why should I tell you?" taehyung stutters feeling a little nervous
"maybe because im jungkook's mother" she frowns and watches taehyung's eyes nearly fall out of their sockets
"I am so sorry" taehyung says stepping aside to let the women in
"so will you now tell me who you are and why you are in my sons house?" she asks
"my name is kim taehyung and I work with jungkook, he is my boss" he says shutting the door behind them as they both walk towards the lounge.
"that still doesnt explain why you're here" she says eyes him up and down, taehyung gulped and scratched the back of his neck out of being nervous.
taehyung starts to explain everything of what happened yesterday
"oh hun im so sorry" she says
"no no dont apologies, you reacted fairly when you saw a stranger in your sons house" he chuckles
"how come you arent back at yours?" she asks
"I was planning to go back to mine but jungkook took me here and said he doesn't want me to be alone with everything that had happened"
"are you planning to go back to work" she asks
"yes hopefully tomorrow" he nods
"are you feeling alright to go back?" she asks a little worried
"I love my job and there are things I wanna do and even though that moment was terrifying I have to move on" he sighs
they continued to chat for awhile, letting time pass by.
"where do you work?" taehyung asks smiling
"I am a social worker" she says proudly
"what an amazing career choice, I could tell that maybe you were doing something around helping people" taehyung says
"how could you tell?" she asks
"you have a caring nature" taehyung smiles
"thats a beautiful complement taehyung thank you" she says
"there is no need to thank me" taehyung says
"im home!" they both look up to see jungkook walking in with his work stuff and food.
"oh mum hi" jungkook says placing the food down on the coffee table
"I didn't know you were going to be home" jungkook says hugging her
"oh dear, I was just coming to see if you were home and met taehyung here" she says smiling
jungkook smiles and sits down next to his mum
"would you like to stay to eat?" taehyung asks
"oh no love that is okay, I better get back to my husband who is probably waiting for me, it was lovely to meet you, bye kook" she says before standing up and hugging the two and walks back to her car.
"your mum is lovely" taehyung says chucking a chip into his mouth
"she seems to like you" jungkook says smiling
"sorry also that she showed up it must have been awkward" he says
"a little at first but after we talked it was good" taehyung smiled
"how was work?" taehyung asked watching jungkook eat a burger
"it was good, very tired though, how are you feeling?" he asks putting his burger down
"better, I will probably come back tomorrow" he says looking at jungkook who had a concerned look on his face
"gguk I will be fine" he smiles as he watches jungkook nod and sigh
they continue to talk a little more before jungkook goes upstairs to wash up and taehyung cleans up from dinner.
taehyung grabs his laptop and places it on the kitchen bench, looking at the computer screen that was filled with a few emails.
the sliver haired males eyes travel around the room as he taps his finger against the kitchen bench.
taehyung's thoughts kept going back to that day, he couldn't stop thinking about that younger boy harry. he hummed as he opened a couple of files searching for harry's name going through a couple of pictures to try and find him.
"ah huh" he says finding his last name and running it through files, he looks at what he is being charged with and all the other details he already knew from harry.
he scrolled down to look at the witness list to see there were 3
mum
dad
bestfriend
but they needed that bestfriends witness to find harry not guilty, taehyung wondered where this witness disappeared to and how come he never showed up.
"looks like I found myself a new case" taehyung smiles
