108 years later
A tall man dressed in a white cloak paces around a room full of equipment, resembling the setup of the nineteen sixty-nine Apollo mission to the moon. Sparks fly across the floor and the lights flicker. Wires and tubes run into a platform with nothing placed upon it. Doctor Bluwinski runs over to a computer screen with skyrocketing data and pushes a few buttons to settle down the energy coming from the platform. He stares at the platform as the air around it begins to circle, increasing in velocity. The wind begins to sing, and the fabric of space and time begins to open.
A couple cops and Multiple men in suits watch the event from a higher, safer point of view, these men work for the United States Government, in the department of technological socially adaptive advancements.
The protagonist and Jacob emerge from the hole in space above the platform, spitting onto the floor, shivering cold. Lying on the floor they look up in disgrace.
Doctor Bluwinski runs over to the two on the platform, as the winds die down and the lights begin to settle.
"Did it work?" He eagerly asks the protagonist, as he grabs his arm and back to support him up. The men in suits exit their safe room, and approach the team.
"No... we screwed it up..." He shockingly replies.
"You... you screwed it up???"
The head of the group of government men speaks to the three grown adults crowding on the floor. "Clearly your little toy is ineffective, and dangerous... as you can see," the man in the suit pulls out a newspaper headline from nineteen twelve, "the ship is still at the floor of the Atlantic, and everyone is still dead."
The two time travelers sigh and look to the floor. Doctor Bluwinski stands and begs to the man. "Sir, please... we don't want your money..." Jacob looks up in distraught, "This is the greatest accomplishment of my entire life!... Please don't take it-"
A radio wave comes from one of the cop's talkies interrupting the doctor echoing through the room, "we got a five o' three downtown can you-", he mutes his radio quickly.
"Sorry... John we gotta roll..." the cop says before him and the other officer quickly exits the building.
The head of the government crew resumes his conversation with the doctor. "I'm sorry Mr. Bluwinksi, but this is a hazard to the outside world, and the world is not ready for time travel yet." The man turns around with his team before exiting the warehouse. "In five minutes a team is going to come here and take care of your equipment, please evacuate the property, or you will be arrested," He firmly states before leaving the room.
The three adults sit down, seeing their mistake, and don't say a word.
