They now sit on a bench outside their warehouse in southern Los Angeles, watching trucks move away from Dr. Bluwinskis life work, carrying his equipment. They are depressed and do not know what to do now.
"Why didn't they tell us to never say a word, about how we... figured out time travel?" Jacob asks.
"Well we haven't figured it out yet, and besides who would believe us..." Dr. Bluwinsksi calmly says, a minute before he gets up and begins to walk along the sidewalk.
"Where are you going?" The protagonist asks. The Doctor turns around after a moment and looks at the two.
"Sixteen years of my life's research, everything I have ever learned and documented about space and time, all my investments... just... gone. I never should have said a word to that journalist, the excitement of fame just overtook me," He looks to a tree, seeing nature and green leaves, "I am going home, to my wife," he looks at the protagonist, "that is all I have anymore, and I guess that's all that really matters doesn't it, at the end of the day no matter how much of my life is wasted, I can still go home, and be with the woman I love, I suggest you do the same Dennis..."
Dennis looks at the doctor, as he turns around and walks home, into the sunset. Dennis folds his hands in discomfort.
"You have a lady for yourself right Dennis?" Jacob asks.
"No..." Dennis replies, Jacob understands and sits for a moment before standing up and walking toward his parked car.
"I'll see you around man, don't beat yourself up." Jacob yells across the pavement. Dennis waves his hand, as Jacob sits in his car and drives, of. Dennis looks over to the tree, seeing the beauty in nature, he looks away and ahead, to the evacuated building.
