Fuyumi sat on the bus, still in shock. It was finally confirmed... she was pregnant. Before buying the pregnancy tests and going to the hospital for extra confirmation, she had been afraid that the non-stop vomiting, lightheadedness and the constant feeling of being drained was due to illness. It caused a cloud of uneasiness to form around her, but it finally vanished when the doctor had informed her of the real reason behind her sickness.
Despite being overwhelmed and anxious, she felt a sense of comfort enveloping her, even when he wasn't there. It almost felt like his wings were wrapping around her, protecting her. That invisible yet ever-present comfort is what allowed Fuyumi to push aside her fears and let the excitement consume her instead. She couldn't wait to tell him that they'd be creating a family.

"It'd be a shame if something happened to that pretty girl you're always arou-"
"Touch her and I'll slice your throat open," Hawks spits. The idea of anything hurting Fuyumi in the slightest made his blood boil. Tomura chuckles at Hawks and looks straight into his eyes.
"We've all got our eyes on you birdman. For your sake, I hope you really are on our side. Because if I even sense that you might betray us... I'll make you wish the Commission left you to rot as a child instead of taking you in," he says with a sinister smile. Hawks hides his true emotions with a smirk and walks off.
"Whatever Crusty," he throws back a tube of lip balm jokingly to add to his relaxed demeanour.
"You're a bastard," Tomura snickers, chucking the lip balm to the side.
Once Hawks is out of the building, he drops to his knees and gulps. He knows what he has to do.

Fuyumi got off the bus 2 stops early to pick up dinner for herself and Keigo. She knew he had been busier than usual, causing him to skip meals - which he usually never did. Her good mood pushed her to buy more food than usual, including stuff to make for his lunch.
She took her time getting home so she could rehearse how she was going to tell Keigo the news.
Should she just leave the stick on the table? No. He probably didn't even know what a pregnancy test looked like. She'd seen people make cute little boxes with a baby onesie or a pacifier, but it was too late to grab those things and wanted to get home as soon as possible, she was too excited.
'Stuff it,' she said to herself. 'I'll just tell him to his face.' She held her shaking hands together trying to suppress her smile and giddiness.
-----
He'd been selfish, and greedy. He knew this, but how could he just leave?
Hawks had been putting this off for months now, just so he could be with her longer. He convinced himself that everything would be fine, he could do both at the same time. But it wasn't possible... and that reality had finally crept upon him.
He purposely took the long way home so he could have more time to think this through. This was going to be the hardest thing he'd ever had to do. It would definitely break him.

Fuyumi walked into their shared apartment and was relieved to see he wasn't home yet. She knew he was running a little late, but that had become normal lately, for both of them.
