"So it's back to the States?" Theo asked me as he helped me pack up my things.
I nodded. "Until November. I'm coming back for my thanksgiving break for four days and then back again for Christmas."
"September, October, November." he counted on his fingers. "Kind of a long time."
I scrunched up my nose. "It's not that long."
"I'm gonna miss doing dumb shit with you. I thought you would be stuck up or super reserved but I had to admit that it was super nice to have you here for the summer." Theo zipped my luggage as I sat on top of it.
"Stuck up?" I scoffed.
He shrugged. "That was before I knew you."
"Maybe when you come in November we can take a day trip to Denmark." Theo proposed.
"Day trip? Denmark? Isn't it pretty far?" I asked him.
"Plane ride is only two hours." Theo responded.
Mhm.
"I'll think about it." I stood up. "I've never been to Denmark before."
"You'll like it. Copenhagen is very vibrant and full of life." Theo added
I sat down on my bed. "I think I'll like it too but people will start talking again. They already fucking think that we're about to get married."
Theo groaned. "I almost forgot about that. I hate when people act like two people of the opposite sex can't be friends."
"Same." I looked over at my clock. "My family is probably waiting for me downstairs."
"It's been fun." I began as I stood up. "I'll see you in November."
Theo gave me a huge hug. "See you in November."
He walked me and all three of my suitcases down to the side exit of the building. We got on a jet and headed for Los Angeles.
Unfortunately for us, the flight to California was even longer than the one to NYC. It was eleven hours long and we left London at 10 am and landed in Los Angeles at 1:30 pm.
My mom's parents came to pick us up from the airport and we were staying at their huge house in Beverly Hills. I loved to stay there.
It had the best views, a tennis court, and a pool.
"I'm sure you all are very tired." my grandmother spoke as we walked into the house. "But I will be cooking my spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner tonight. It should be ready by six-thirty."
Angelina jumped up and down. "I wanna help you cook!"
My grandmother smiled. "I'd love your help, Miss Lina."
I sighed. "I'm going to go unpack and maybe I'll go lounge by the pool while you guys cook."
Everyone gave me a quick smile before I walked upstairs to one of the empty guest bedrooms. I unpacked some of my stuff and then pulled out my phone to let Sammy know that I was back in town.
Apparently, the Fitzgerald's already invited my family over for lunch tomorrow.
"Where are we having lunch tomorrow?" I asked Sammy as we FaceTimed.
"Probably one of the hotels." he shrugged. "Do you just wanna go to a cafe right quick to catch up? Peet's sound good?"
I nodded my head. "I just have to change out of my sweats. The one next to Chiptole?"
"That's the one." Sammy agreed. "I'll see you in twenty."
I washed my face, put my hair into a low ponytail, put on a cute crop top and denim shorts with my airforces, and then walked downstairs into the kitchen.
