Kylo had never looked so good. You kept your eyes ahead as you watched him search the cave for Emperor Palpatine. "What could you possibly give me?" You heard Kylo sneer, lightsaber in Palpatine's face.
"Everything." Palpatine answered. "A new empire." Thunder rolled across your screen as you watched the ships rise, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake. You took a deep breath, feeling your heartbeat grow faster as Kylo's eyes glowed red in the darkness of your living room. Taking a sip of your tequila, your felt the tension release as the movie shifted to show Poe, Finn and Chewbacca playing a lighthearted game of Dejarik.
"That fuzzy man-bear always wins!! I just don't get it." You heard Trey mumble with popcorn in his mouth. You giggled, the tequila making you feel lighter.
"You know that fuzzy man-bear's name, don't you?" You asked lightly, not wanting to interrupt the movie too much.
"With how many times we've watched this trilogy together, obviously I do." You could see Trey rolling his eyes.
You moved your eyes back to the screen, listening to Rey as she spoke to General Organa about how to get to Exegol. Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca going with her warmed your heart, but you couldn't help but feel a little jealous. You wanted to be in the Star Wars universe more than anything else in the world. You knew it wouldn't be possible, you were stuck in your boring universe where nothing ever happened. You went to work each day as a case worker and felt yourself being drained emotionally- until you picked up where you left off on Disney Plus. You didn't know how, but these far-fetched movies always seemed to bring your heart back from near-death and bursting to life.
You picked up your phone and opened Tinder. The clock showed you it was nearly one in the morning, and your body felt it. Your eyelids felt heavy, yet the faint throbbing of your clit demanded satisfaction. You swiped left on your smart phone until one profile caught your attention. His build like that of Kylo Ren, only slightly thinner. Less intimidating. You knew this was supposed to be a good thing, but your draw to the darkness within Kylo Ren would always be something missing from any other man. The profile showed Brett. You didn't care about his last name; you had no desire to get to know him. You looked at his other pictures, interested slightly in his dog. Brett was about 6 feet tall according to his profile, with shaggy light brown hair. He had a nice smile with toned biceps as he clutched his golden retriever between his arms.
"Who is that handsome man and why haven't you swiped right yet?" Trey leaned over, asking. You chuckled slightly, shaking your head.
"I don't know, just not sure if I'm entirely into the idea of meeting up with a stranger or not." You chewed on the inside of your cheek, hovering your thumb over the screen. Trey moved quickly to swipe right for you. The screen lit up, showing you'd made a match.
"Oh, look at that! He seems into the idea." Trey smirked. He'd been your best friend since college, the both of you graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and luckily becoming case workers for the same office. Once a month he'd come over for drinks and one Star Wars trilogy, the whole time encouraging you to go out and meet someone else, rather than obsessing over a fictional man.
"I don't know, Trey. Maybe I'll message him later but I'm a little tired right now." The throbbing of your clit reared its ugly head once more, yelling in protest to your statement.
"Yeah, mhm." He ignored you- until your phone lit up, signaling you'd received a message. "Tell me that was him messaging you just now." He moved to take your phone from you to check, but you were quicker than him; moving your phone to hide it under your left thigh.
"I don't know, and I don't care." Trey looked at you with a knowing smirk.
"If that was him, you have to meet up tonight." You looked at Trey like he'd grown another head.
