Gerard had always been clingy.
Not the kind of clingy that's like calling your partner every second of the day, but wanting to cuddle whenever they were in the room and constantly making sure that he was wanted. Every single person he'd ever been with had had too much of it, though.
Not Frank. He loved how clingy Gerard was. He called him monkey because of it.
Gerard was especially clingy in the morning. He was bleary eyed and half asleep, trying to find Frank in bed. His side was cold, though, and Gerard was too tired to use his brain to figure out where he went.
"Are you awake, monkey?" Frank's voice came from his right side.
Gerard reached up and made grabby hands at him.
Frank laughed. "Alright, hold on, hold on."
Cloth hit the floor, and a fully naked Frank jumped into bed with his equally naked fiancé.
Gerard buried his face in Frank's neck, sighing softly and snuggling close to him. His left arm was starting to prickle with pins and needles, but he didn't care.
"That doesn't look very comfortable, monkey."
Gerard raised a finger to his lips. Shh. He didn't need it to be comfortable. He just needed Frank's cuddles and face kisses.
Frank seemed to sense this. He kissed Gerard's eyelids, then his forehead and nose, his cheeks, ears, faint little freckles, and finally his lips.
"My beautiful monkey," Frank whispered, his breath fanning across Gerard's face.
Gerard's eyes finally fluttered open. He yawned and rubbed his eyes, nuzzling into Frank's soft touch.
"There he is." Frank stroked his cheek softly. "I missed those eyes."
"Your monkey is tired and would like to sleep," Gerard grumbled.
"Unfortunately my monkey has a large stack of pancakes to eat and wedding planning to do, so he has to get up."
Gerard groaned. He let Frank pull him out of bed and simply wrapped a sheet around himself, which dragged behind him like a cape because it was made for a king sized bed.
"You are such a drama queen," Frank teased, slightly ahead of him down the hall.
"A drama queen who needs fucking cuddles."
Frank made him sit at the counter, then put a plate of pancakes in front of him. Instead of eating them, Gerard grabbed him around the waist and nuzzled into his chest.
Frank laughed. "You're so clingy, love. I'll tell you what. I'll give you ten minutes with me, and then you have to start functioning."
Gerard groaned. "Fine."
Frank brought him to the couch and let him collapse on top of him. Gerard straddled him and wrapped his arms around his neck.
They ended up cuddling for way more than ten minutes.
