I hate panic at the disco buuut this is a good song
The sun was in love with the moon.
Gerard was pale and elegant. He had short white hair and a gorgeous smile. Every time the sun saw him, he flushed. The sky turned pink and orange when he saw the moon.
Frank himself was hot. Not the way you're thinking. He was always so warm, and had a burning temper.
It was the time of day when Frank got to see Gerard again. Gerard came dancing over the horizon, wearing a soft smile. His eyes brightened when he saw Frank.
The sky turned pink, and Frank looked down. "Hi."
"Hello." Gerard reached out for Frank's hand. This was something they did every day, so that the sky could darken and Gerard could take over.
Frank reached out, his fingers brushing against Gerard's. "How have you been?"
"Tired." Gerard smiled. "I've been sleeping all day."
"I don't blame you." Frank didn't tell him that he looked beautiful when he slept. It had been extra hot that day. "We have an eclipse coming up tomorrow."
"We do." Gerard threaded their fingers together. "There we go. I'll get to come see you during the day."
"There's so many humans," Frank said. "You'll love it."
Gerard smiled.
Although they were traveling across the sky, they could never be closer than two arm lengths apart. Except during a total eclipse. It happened once every hundred years or so. This time, Frank would do something. He would make a move.
Frank yawned. "Time for bed."
"Goodnight." Gerard squeezed his hand and let go.
Frank closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The next morning, Gerard grabbed Frank's hand, waking him up. "Time to wake up, dear. It's time to shine."
Frank rubbed sleep out of his eyes and smiled. "Hi."
"Hello, beautiful." Gerard pulled him up. "I get to stay with you today."
Frank perked up. "That's right!"
"And right now-" Gerard pulled Frank close to him. "I want to do something I have wanted to do for a very long time."
Frank's heart hammered. "What's that?"
Gerard wrapped his arm around Frank's waist. "This."
Frank closed his eyes as Gerard pressed their lips together. He wrapped his arms around the moon's neck and pressed closer to him.
All around them, the sky turned golden.
