Chapter 13: The Cave of Truth

•Third Person View•

The girls were staying at the other end of the bridge still in deep thought thinking who was that girl except for Eunbi. She was thinking to how powerful Chaewon was.

The aura that she emitted was a very extraordinary aura. The pressure it brings in a closed space can crush you and make you stop breathing.

Being in deep thought, no one noticed the dog waking up. Her groan made them snap their eyes and heads towards Yujin who just woke up.

The surrounded her and bombarded questions whether she was fine or okay or if something hurts. She held her hands over her chest not feeling a wound but only a torn part of her clothes.

She didn't feel any pain. It's like she was never shot. She felt conflicted to ask what happened because she's afraid that this was all a dream and she didn't die.

Between her friends' questions, she hugged them tightly, especially a tall someone. She released from the hug and not soon after she started tearing up.

Of course, seeing their second youngest cry especially since she was usually the on who would make them laugh is weird and they panicked.

"Y-yujin, s-stop crying."

"D-does it hurt?"

"Yah, are you okay?"

"Wha- why are you c-crying?"

"Are you hurting?! Where?!"

"Yujin unnie, a-are you o-okay?" Their youngest asked shyly in a whisper.

"Yes, Wonyoungie. I'm fine. See? I'm just happy to not die hehe."

"UNNIEE! I'M SORRY! IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!" Wonyoung suddenly shouted and bowed multiple times in front of Yujin.

The others were startled and Yujin was the first to recover. "Wonnie! It wasn't your fault okay? Besides, I'm fine now. See?" Yujin suddenly said smiling and hugged Wonyoung.

The others' hearts were flattered to see the two hugging. It made a little tug in their hearts when they realized that best friends were the only thing they could offer to each other.

'Being in a kingdom with homopobes suck.'

After a few hours of walking, they finally found the cave where the first gem is hidden. They made their way into the cave and slowly, the light from where they came from were gone.

•Sakura's POV•

I walked around trying to find the others but there was no sign of them. Where are they? Did they go somewhere? Did they leave me?

I looked around and found a small door. I looked inside to take a peak but the light from the door engulfed me. I was startled but quickly regained posture.

I looked around and saw a child's room. It had light pink wallpapers and there was a cradle with baby toys. On the other side was also some baby bottles.

The room looked familiar but, just something was off. I turned around only to find a little girl sleeping on a mother's arms. My mom.

So, that means...

"Honey, do you think she'll be a great ruler?" Mom said.

"Well, she was the daughter of the previous king and queen."

What? Previous king and queen?

"She is. I'm sorry Sakura. I'm sorry for killing them. But I will never be sorry to have spared your life."

W-what? M-mom. S-so, I'm... Not their real daughter?

I then was back to a dark room but this time a voice was heard.

"Sakura, never believe anything you will see. Sometimes, people twist stories and events to get what they want."

Just then, everything was black.

•Minju's POV•

I looked around and called for my friends but none answered. I could only hear my breathing. Where are they? I swore they were here just a minute ago.

I then looked around to find a door. I walked in completely and closed the door behind me. I was in a white room. A completely white room.

I looked back but the door was now gone. I called for anyone but none answered. What is happening?

Just then, a large tree was built beside me. Then, a scene came up. There were two people fighting. I couldn't see their faces. But I heard the girl like figure say something like, "It's me."

The boy like figure then attacked the girl with black powers. I was shocked but then the girl suddenly used her powers and deflected his powers and strangely enough, he speeded to rush and catch the hit.

He then threw himself on the ground and 11 people came running in. One was completely furious. It was like she was telling the girl off and the boy lied about the girl hitting him first.

The girl who defended the boy then slapped the girl and used her powers to beat up the poor girl.

I wanted to scream that it was the boy who needed to get beaten up but it was too late. The girl who defended the boy used an ice sword and lunged it onto the poor girl's heart.

Then the scene changed again. I was back at the white room only, a voice was heard.

"Remember Minju, never trust what you see. Sometimes, it's just an illusion. Remember, this world is full of lies."

And then... Nothing.
