Chapter 22: Pain

•Chaewon's POV•

Darkness. That's the only thing I can see. But the pain is here. I can feel something dripping from my chest and onto my stomach until it hits the ground.

It didn't hurt because I was stabbed. It hurt because of the person who stabbed me. I fell for her within a matter of days. I was always around her and the way her rare smiles light up everything, the way our hands brush each other makes my heart flutter.

The way she speaks give me butterflies even if it's emotionless. Whenever she's around, everything just lights up, and now, this pain im feeling made sure that I fell. I fell hard, too hard.

I can feel my body get hugged by someone. Then shoutings, they were hazy. But my eyes were still closed. It hurts like hell. But i can't scream, nor call for help.

I gues this is it...

it's the start.

•Third Person View•

"MINJU-AH! STOP!" Yena screamed and ran towards Chaewon. Se caught her and tried to stop the bleeding on her chest where her heart is, but failed.

Chaeyeon and Sakura also ran towards Yena and Chaewon. Yena scremed for help while Sakura got the sword from Minju. "MINJU! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Chaeyeon shouted at Minju.

The girls were shocked to hear Chaeyeon shout. Chaeyeon was never really the type of person who gets angry easily and seeing her like this is new.

"Unnie! Did you not see her?! She was about to kill Hyunjin!" Minju shouted back. "AND YOU THINK STABBING HER IN HER HEART IS THE SOLUTION?! MINJU, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" Chaeyeon shouted while tending to Chaewon. She was devistated to see her friend, someone who is like a sister to her, stab someone without knowing the full story.

"Chaeyeon unnie, she may be right. We saw how Chaewon unnie stabbed her on her shoulder." Yujin butted in but Chaeyeon ignored her comment. If she was asked, she did saw Chaewon stab Hyunjin, but she knew Chaewon could never do that.

"Chaeyeon-ah." Yena said weakly. She placed her finger onto Chaewon's pulse, she then looked at Yuri, Sakura and Chayeon and shook her head. The four could only drop their heads down along with the other girls.

But one was smirking.

"Why? Why are you defending that dead girl? She clearly is in the wrong and we saw that." Minju said suddenly while Eunbi agreed. The 4 other girls were ignoring their ex-friends and carried Chaewon to the clinic.

"What do we do now Kkura unnie? Clearly, Chaewon is the real heir to the throne of Dryxmar." Yuri said breaking the silence. "I don't know. But one thing is for sure. We need Chaewon."

On the other hand, Hyunjin laughed. He laughed while holding his shoulders with his head down. "PABO! Y-you defended me? I can't believe the princesses are this easy to trick. HAHAHA! You're all gonna die. You just killed your saviour." Then he vanished with black smoke indicating that he's a dark attuned.

Minju stood there stunned. She can't get it out of her head. 'You just killed your saviour.' She can't believe it. Yes, he liked Hyunjin, but this feeling she had with Chaewon was something indeniable. But she ignored it.

She then ran towards the clinic only to see the four girls crying and Chaewon's body slowly vanishing. She then ran towards Chaewon and hugged her. For the first time, even if both their bodies were now cold, she felt the warmth she had been looking for.

And now...it's gone. She just lost her.

Weeks and months passed, the Academy was gloomy. Minju became even colder than before. Even her friends can't talk to her. The 4 girls still haven't forgiven Minju and ignored everyone throughout the time that has passed.

Chaewon was their saviour and they treated her badly. Yena became cold and Yuri was sad to see Yena like this.

Meanwhile, the traitor looked at her friends. 'I only did it to get the person I love, back. But I didn't know it would affect them this much. I'm sorry. I'll make this right.'

Weeks passed and the school is stiol gloomy until...

"Attention students, please proceed to the arena. I repeat, all students pleace proceed to the arena, thank you."

As the students settled down, the kings and queens are seen smiling like a good news have arrived. They sall sat down and the HM proceeded to the stage with also a huge smile on his face.

"Welcome everyone. Today is a special day. We have found the real heir to the throne of Dryxmar. Please welcome, Lee Felix!"
