Chapter 18: The Rescue

•Third Person View•

Once the three girls are dressed up as guards in the castle, they made their way to find the girls. As they approached certain hallway, a guard stepped in front of them and spoke, "You three. Lord Reo needs help with the lifting of the crates that arrived. The war is near so you better get moving!"

It took all Chaewon's power not to pounce on the guy for stealing her Minj- I mean her friends. Yeah, her friends. (Chaewon: You better watch your mouth author.) Geez. She's scary. I wonder what who'll be top. Hehe.

Anyways, *ehem* they did what they were asked to not blow their covers. Finding the girls in this huges place would take days and blowing their cover was the last thing they needed. They need to find the girls fast before any chaos happened.

They went to one corridor to another trying to find the throne room and after a few wrong turns, they finally made it. They walked in and saw a man with his cloak covering his whole body.

They bowed and and spoke in a deep diguised voice. "Lord Reo." The said man walked his way onto the girls with suspicious eyes. He gestured the to the wooden crate and gave the girls a scroll. It was a map to where they would take the crate.

The girls bowed again and proceeded to take the crate. Eunbi and Chaewon lifted the crate while Chaeyeon navigated for the two girls. They went outside and finally let out a breath they never knew they were holding.

"He had an extremly heavy aura." Eunbi muttered quietly while the two girls agreed silently. They made their way onto an arena. It was very questionable but as they made it in the middle, the lights lit up and the whole arena was filled with kind of people and monsters while Lord Reo was sitting at the thrown with a smirk on his face.

"Fuck. He knew." Chaewon said making the two girls nod their heads as they roamed their eyes on the audience. It was packed. The arena had a dark aura surrounding it making their powers useless.

"WELCOME! EVERYONE QUIET DOWN! THE SHOW IS ABOUT TO START! NOW, PLEASE WELCOME OUR GUESTS! STUDENTS FROM THE DRYXMAR ACADEMY! THEY WILL FIGHT FOR THEIR LIVES! THEY CAN'T GET OUT! WE WILL WATCH THEM SUFFER AS THEIR POWERS SLOWLY DRAIN FROM THE CREATURES BEING RELEASED! NOW! LET THE SHOW BEGIN! OPEN THE CRATE!"

The booming voice said and once he said the last sentence, the crate opened and there, they saw the 9 girls bloody and wounded. They looked pale and skinny. Like they haven't eaten anything in days. Their eyes widened at the realization.

"We need to protect the from the monsters." Chaeyeon said quietly. The 3 girls took their weapons out as the arena started roaring. The cages were opened and black large wolves came running out. These wolves are Class S wolves.

Ordinary magic can't affect them. They tried to use their powers but it was no use. The amount of dark magic in the place stopped their powers from coming out. Chaewon, being the strongest out of the 3 girls took the front while Eunbi and Chaeyeon tend to the girls.

They had faith in Chaewon since she saved Yujin's life once. Chaewon can use her powers but can also raise suspicions so she decided to go powerless.

She swung her sword to the left without looking and hit 3 wolves' feet making the whimper. As their defense mechanism, the wolves let out a screeching scream enough to make your ears bleed. But Chaewon didn't back down.

Instead, she ran to the wolves and sliced them up in just one swing of her sword. The people in the arena gasp as they have never seen anyone kill 10 Class S wolves that easily.

The Lord didn't even look surprised or mad. Instead, he smiled. He was amused at what this girl could do. The girl looked familiar for the Lord but just couldn't put his finger on it.

He tapped his chin while watching the girl use her sword flawlessly. They then released giants that can crush you within mere seconds but the girl, in a blink of an eye just rushed and sliced the head off.

Chaewon wasn't even panting nor tired. Instead, adrenaline started to pump through her veins and while fighting, she couldn't feel the pain of the scratched and wounds inflicted by her enemies.

She fought Class S mosters and also Class S+ monsters. There was no way she wasn't tired. But she really isn't. Instead, she was happy to feel the feeling of protecting someone. She enjoys it.

At last, the final monster came and everyone was frustrated and wanted for them to die. On the other girls' side, they were just watching. Most of them were awake but Hitomi, Sakura and Nako were still asleep.

As Chaewon fought the monster, she released only a part of her aura which lead to silenced the audience. Not a single soul was speaking. They felt suffucated by her and because of her powers being light, tehy felt it twice as stronger.

She swung her sword left and right, jumped from one place to another and ran as fast as her legs go which is really fast until a few seconds of silence, a thud could be heard.

They stare as their beloved strongest beast was cut into pieces by a student at the Dryxmar Academy. No one has been able to do that. No one has even reached this level, let alone defeat the monster. Lord Reo was impressed and he knows now that his speculations are confirmed. Chaewon is an heir.
