The bell rang, the teacher looked at the clock and sighed. "Well, this is your homework for today. You're all dismissed."
I was cleaning up my stuff, since I've been invited to watch the practice match and I don't have a club I'm joining. But when I was occupied with that, looking at the desk next to me, Fukunaga was...gone.
'How in the hell did he even disappeared like that?' I thought and walked outside the classroom.
"Himura!" I saw Emika from the distance, waving at me cheerfully. To be honest, I liked to spend time with Emika more since she's more calmer and less chatty. "Where are you going?" I told her where and she immediately lit up. "You got invited by Kuroo-san? That's so lucky! I'm going to watch it too with Hoshi."
We walked through the halls and I noticed some students were scattered around the halls, usually they would be in their clubs by now. "Yeah, it does seems to be much more crowded than usual." Emika noticed too.
Never mind that, Emika was still so excited to watch the match, even though it was just a practice match. "Don'tcha know that they're going up against Shiratorizawa? One of the best school in country, it's like being up against Niiyama!" Her brown catlike eyes sparkled and she tried to hug me but I pushed her away. I never knew that Emika was really into the nonphysical side of volleyball, she liked video games more.

"Why did you quit volleyball? Kaoru-san liked it." I froze and looked at her. She was pretty serious about that question. "I know that sounds very personal but you kept refusing our offers even though you went to win a match over Hoshi back in middle school, right?" I did won an official match during middle school's tournament over Hoshiko but it was all in the past now.
"I...play it for a friend." I uttered in a low voice, which weirdly made my voice even more boyish than it already was. "Who's the friend? Is it a setter too?"
"Hey, you two!" Hoshiko suddenly attacked us by the back and headlock us. "Been looking for you everywhere, the match already started." We immediately rushed in and I was surprised to found an audience, that's why the halls were crowded. "Shiratorizawa must have big fans in Tokyo too, huh?" Emika went to watch the match, keeping a safe distance between her and some of the girls watching.
"Well, I heard from Aoike-san that some girls just want to watch Kuroo and some handsome dude from the other team if they had the chance." I was shocked for sure, this was the first time I've been exposed to these kinds of stuff.
"Is Fumi-chan watching?" Emika asked.
Hoshiko shrugged, "Meh. She said she's busy with helping teachers."
"How about the others, Kuze-san and Fujiwara-san?"
"They actually came here before you two came," Hoshiko explained. "But they have some tutoring to do to some first years by the teachers and one of them included Keiko..."
"Kurihashi-chan...that girl."
Again, I don't understand what they were talking about.
~~~~~~
The match was still on, it wasn't as long as the ones on TV but it was longer than average. "I see some are gone." Emika turned her head to see most of the students walking out the gym. "They're not real fans." Hoshiko brushed it off quickly before focusing on the match again.
Kenma tossed the ball to Kai-san and he managed to score a point for them but it was still far behind. "Nobuyuki-san is really great at those attacks!" Hoshiko analyzed, somehow she did better in this sport than any of her written tests.
