"Hey, has your class announced the sports festival is coming yet?" Naomi asked.

Aiko shook her head, "Nope. Then again, my homeroom teacher is really lazy..."

"Wow, sassy, aren't we?" Makoto cackled.

Aiko just sighed and scratched her head out of annoyance. Something must be bugging her so much to the point of changing her mood completely. "I don't know. Sensei is really pissing me off like crazy. I hate being my class president."

"Woah there, prez." Naomi nudged her shoulder and giggled.

"I hope I'll be in a team where everyone cooperates." Makoto whined and sipped her on her juice box to the point of the last drop.

"What happened last year?" The shortest girl asked.

Makoto pouted and threw away her juice box, "I was the only one putting much effort..."

"Well, I heard the teams will be made differently from last year." Aiko explained. "But I doubt sensei will explain it thoroughly."

Aiko really had some grudges.

"Cheer leading?!" The boys of her class nodded with goofy smiles on their faces. Chou on the other hand, was disgusted by them. "Ew, I don't wanna!" She said and ran away from them.

"Did I hear cheer leadin'?" She turned her back to see Hoshiko popping from the door frame with the three other girls of the volleyball club along with her.

"Awh, Chou! You need to do it!" Fumi and Hoshiko begged but the blonde wasn't easily persuade by their advances, Emika was the only one keeping things peace between them.

"Sports...festival...?" Kai questioned.

"Uh-huh. Apparently, a lot of people are excited about it." Teshiro explained his concerns and took a spoonful of his lunch.

The boys team were eating together like always on the steps of the school. They usually do this whenever their friends aren't around to talk to. Even the managers were joining in.

"The sports festival sounds fun." Kuroo said pointed his chopsticks to the team with his mouth full of food. "We need rest for nationals either way, too."

He stood up, placing his lunchbox aside and looked up to the sky. "Then it's settled. We'll go do the sports festival!"

"Kuro, you look like a weird video game character."

"Who are you to judge?!"

A few days later, the team was busy practicing for their upcoming matches at the national stage of the Spring Tourney. It was the day they all enticingly waited for their lives at that point. Too late to back down.

"Akahana, I heard the school's starting the sports festivals in a few days." Nekomata approached her with a gentle smile on his face. The manager nodded and turned her body to face him. "I wonder if it'll be the same as last year."

"Of course not, sir!" Yaku and Taketora refused to believe it'll be disastrous as last year. Last year didn't went as planned and everyone ended up drenched in rain water. Himura remembered it like it was yesterday, she ended up with a nasty cold and didn't attend school for a week. Her only escapism from her sister.

"I don't really like the idea going against people from the same class." Shibayama confessed nervously.

"Don't worry, Shibayama-kun. We're in the same team!" Akahana told him and jumped around with Fukunaga because he got sorted into the same team as well.
