limx∞√x(√x + 3 −√x − 2) = a2 where a = ?

After about ten gruesome minutes of trying to figure out the answer, I had come to the conclusion that: a = unicorn.

There was simply no other solution.

"Right so," Mrs. Peters spoke. "If you followed all the sets correctly and efficiently the answer you should've gotten is 5."

I shared a glance with Delilah, who was sitting at the desk beside me, and she looked to be just about confused as me. I held up my worksheet and moved it back and forth and she cast me a bewildered pointed glare, moving her hands around her face in a cross.

I sighed and just marked the question as correct. I was close enough anyway.

"That's it for class today. Don't forget to study. Especially before Tuesday. Have a nice day everyone."

I slammed my head on the desk just as the bell rang.

"At least it's lunch," Delilah grimaced folding her worksheet into her notebook.

I groaned, "I'm gonna fail Calc."

I packed up my things and we headed out the door. "Everyones failing calc," she said, "Except for Alex. I don't know how the dipshits passing."

Someone cleared their throat from behind us. "I heard dipshit? Which of the two witches summoned me?" A mop of dirty blonde hair made its way to my vision and a matching set of grey eyes twinkled with the play of his grin.

I rolled my eyes and Alex sent me a wink. He wrapped both his arms around Delilah and me and started leading us to the cafeteria.

"You know Lilah," he said as the both of us tried to squirm free of his grip. "I could tutor you if you wanted?"

I elbowed him in the gut. "Hey, asshole!" I glared. "Just because you've got this needy crush on Lilah doesn't mean you get to screw me around. I need help too."

His ears tinged pink and he scowled. "She was beside me."

"We were both beside you! You had us locked into a fucking titanium death grip!"

"Oh come on," Delilah groaned. "I would like for just one day to g without your bickering. You're like toddlers I swear."

"Listen," I said and pushed open the door to the cafeteria. "It's morally wrong for him to offer to help you and not me. It's bad manners."

"It's not if I don't want to help you."

"Watch your mouth asstwat. I'm this close to kicking your teeny dick."

He rolled his eyes. I kicked him. He fell.

"Motherfucker," he swore, grimacing in pain.

I smoothed back my hair and took a deep breath. "That felt nice."

"I see stars."

Lilah was clutching her stomach in laughter.

"Uh—You ok Alex?" That was new.

I turned back to Alex and found some guy, his back to us, helping him up. Well, trying to. Alex's over-dramatic ass was lay flop down like a dead fish.

"Lilah," I whispered nudging her. "Alex has friends?"

She stopped laughing and furrowed her brows. "You mean us right?"

"No," I shook my head and angled it to the mop of brown hair Alex was talking to, he was still trying to coax Alex up. Alex was rolling around like a baboon. "Look."
