Snowman

“Passengers are requested to board Air Asia flight 2454 from Delhi to Shimla the announcement echoed at Delhi IGI airport. The Stuarts are flying to Shimla to fulfill Ariel's next wish to see snow. Being born in Sydney near a coastal area, Ariel never got a chance to see snowfall.

Ryan already went to see snow at blue mountains with his friends, Ariel's parents too went to Thredbo for their honeymoon to enjoy snow. So, Ariel is the only one left in the family who has not seen snow till now. Finally, Ariel will see the white beauty of nature at Shimla.

Ariel looks down at the snow clad mountains from Airplane's window, and she feels so delighted. Finally, her wish is turning into reality. Stuarts reach Shimla in just 60 minutes. The city of Shimla is now more gorgeous with a thick sheet of snow now covering the city.

The snow covered mountains, pine trees with pearl like snowflakes on them, British styled architecture makes the city a great combination of natural beauty and history.

Shimla has famous shopping hubs like mall road and lower bazaar (bazaar means market) bustling with tourists, but the Stuarts have decided to stay at Kufri which is 16 km away from the main city of Shimla so, they can enjoy scenic beauty and peacefulness of Kufri hill station which is opposite to the hustle bustle of Shimla.

Ariel can't walk long distances because it exhausts her. So, Kufri is the most suitable place for Ariel to give rest and refreshment to her body.

Kufri is the best place of Shimla district to witness snowfall. It's already 22 December that means Stuarts will celebrate Christmas and New Year in Kufri.

The Stuarts finally arrive at hotel Kufri Heights. Ryan and Daniel take up their luggage to their rooms. This hotel is warm, cozy and gives the vibes of granny's house. Daniel and Ryan stayed in one room while Alice stays with Ariel in another room.

Ariel's P.O.V starts ....

God this is a marvel ! It is snowing. The white pearls are descending from the sky. How can everything be so surreal! . This is truly heaven on earth.

Yesterday we went for skiing and car cable ride. I was skeptical while skiing so, Ryan was supporting me as if I had again turned into a baby, learning to walk again. I now imagine how happy my parents and Ryan would have been when I took my first baby steps to walk on my own.

Ryan and me even made a Snowman together. All my fantasy to play with snow has come to life. We even had snow fighting and even with the weakness in my body I managed to smash snowballs on Ryan's face. Instead of being annoyed by the snowballs Ryan laughed and smiled at me then he cunningly threw a huge ball of snow at me, making me literally taste the snow.

Kufri is just the perfect place to escape into your world of fantasy filled with lots of snow, hills and pine trees. Right now looking through the window of my room, I feel like the princess Elsa from Frozen, but I feel luckier than Elsa because I have my family by my side to enjoy the snow with them.

Today is Christmas, my favourite time of the year and the snowfall both are amplifying my Christmas mood.

Ryan and daddy are trying to place a Christmas tree in my room, Mommy took special permission from the hotel staff to bake a special cake for the family or rather for me because tragically this is my last Christmas with Ryan, Mommy and Daddy.

I don't feel sad that this is my last Christmas rather I am grateful to God for giving me a chance to celebrate Christmas with my loved ones.

Now I understand how we take little moments of our life for granted. Life is just a cluster of these small bits of happiness. We just need to enjoy these little moments of bliss to feel the beauty of life rather than waiting for big joyful occasions to make yourself happy.

Ariel's P.O.V ends....

Stuarts celebrate Christmas and New Year with great enthusiasm although Alice, Daniel and Ryan have a mixed bag of emotions in their hearts which includes sadness, worry, delight and a sense of emptiness which they are trying to mask from ailing Ariel.

Tomorrow the Stuarts are flying back to their home in Sydney. Ariel is happy with all the moments spent in India. Ariel asks Ryan to upload the videos on ARIEL YouTube.

Ryan then uploaded the videos. After that Stuarts pack up their stuffs expect Ariel who is vomiting and feeling nauseous. Alice packs up Ariel's clothes with fright in her chest as their only daughter's health is deteriorating day by day, and they are quite helpless about Ariel's sufferings.
