The minute after the minute,
The wishes of the former lay
Within the moment entombed
In the newest part of midday,
And oh what I could have wished
I'm the time of primes when digits
align in uniform! For love! For money!
For whatever within my heart fits.
And yet the clock strikes 11:12.
One minute too late, too late to wish,
Watching the sickly second hand
Draw ever nearer to the dozen.
Oh...I wish...
