JB's RWBY Volume 2: The Sunflower and The Flame (Male OC Insert)

Chapter 1: Food Fight!

It's afternoon. Lunch time to be more precise. Teams RWBY and JNPR sat on different tables situated opposite to each other. Seated at the head of Team RWBY's table was a certain dark haired boy. Kai Blaze had a bored expression on his face, his chin held up in his left palm, as he watched Yang catch peas, thrown by Nora, in her mouth.

Kai: "You know you can choke on that right?"

Yang: "Only if it goes down the wrong hole. But we both know I'm too skilled for that", she caught another pea in her mouth, "Mmmmm". Kai scoffed, "If you can call that a skill"

Just then Ruby came up beside him at the head of the table and slammed a giant binder down on it with the words, 'BEST DAY EVER ACTiViTiES!' scribbled in red.

Ruby: "Ahem", she cleared her throat, "Ladies, Gentlemen, Weiss...(Weiss: "Hey!")...four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream". Yang turned to Kai, "Well this ought to be good", and then she immediately turned again to catch a berry in her mouth. Ruby went on, "A dream that one day, the 5 of us would come together as a team and have the most fun anyone has ever had EVER!"

Kai: "Uh, I'm not on your team". Ruby waved his statement away with an arm, "Details details...". Meanwhile Weiss was taking a closer look at the massive binder on the table.

Weiss: "Wait, did you steal my binder?". Kai peered at the book and sure enough, there was a print of 'Vytal Festival Activities' and 'Weiss Schnee' cancelled out with red marker.

Kai: "Yup she stole it"

Ruby: "Of course I didn't. I am not a crook"

Blake: "What are you talking about?"

Ruby: "I'm talking about kicking off this semester with a bang"

Yang: "I always kick MY semesters off with a Yang! Heh? Guys? Am I right?" As everyone around the table groaned, an apple suddenly smacked Yang in the face. She glared over at Nora who shouted, "Booooo".

Kai: "Heh heh, with a Yang..."

Yang: "See, Kai gets it"

Weiss: "Kai laughs at every boring joke you make. It wouldn't be the first time..."

Ruby: "Ahem. Moving on...Guys its been a good two weeks, and between more exchange students arriving, and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great. But, classes start back up tomorrow. Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today"

Weiss: "I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store". Yang got up and hurled an apple at JNPR's table. The apple missed its intended target and instead hit Ren in the head, "Hey!"

Blake: "I don't know, I think I'll sit this one out"

Kai: "Actually maybe Ruby has a point. It's the last chance we have to actually do something fun, before all the hassle and frazzle of our lectures wear us down after tomorrow. I for one am not looking forward to Professor Oobleck's history class"

Weiss: "Sit out or not, I say whatever we do today, we do it as a team"

Kai: "Still not part of your team..."

Weiss: "Details details..."she waved away Kai's statement again and stood up, "I say we...". Weiss never got a chance to finish whatever she was saying. A full plate of pie found its way to her face. Everyone glanced over at Team JNPR's table. Nora pointed at Ren, who had his face in his hands.

~Outside the cafeteria~

Sun: "...And then we were fighting side by side, and she was super fast, and then I threw a banana at the guy, which sounds gross but really it was awesome!", he gestured wildy as he talked, walking towards the cafeteria alongside his blue haired friend named Neptune.
