Kai walked through the doors of the dance hall, and was immediately greeted cheerfully by Yang at the door.
Yang: "Good evening! And welcome to the dance!". Kai was about to reply but paused when he saw Yang's outfit. She was wearing a white knee length gown, which hugged her body tightly, showing off all her curves.
Kai: "You look...wow...You look beautiful Yang". Yang smirked, "Told you I'd dress to kill tonight". Kai chuckled and gestured to himself, "Now I feel like I'm not dressed enough". Yang looked him over, he wore a tux, but the tie was undone, and the shirt wasn't buttoned all the way up.
Yang: "You look..."

Kai: "Sorry, I was never really good with wearing these things, they make me feel weird inside...". Yang took his hand and laughed, "Kai it's alright, it suits you. Pun intended". They both laughed lightheartedly at the joke, before Kai moved to stand beside her.
Kai: "You're the welcoming committee right? Mind if I join you?"
Yang: "I don't wanna bore you out, I'll probably be here a long time"
Kai: "Well all the more reason I should be here, I wanna get as much time as I can with you tonight". Yang smiled at him warmly, "Thank you". Just then then door opened, and both their heads turned to see who had just entered.
Kai: "Welcome to the dance Ruby". Yang squealed at the sight of her sister, "Oh you look beautiful!" Ruby stood in the doorway with some difficulty, wearing a red gown, and black heels, her legs wobbling slightly, "Okay, can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?" She then attempted to walk inside, wobbling all the way. Yang laughed and Kai gave a small smile before moving to support Ruby, "Okay, take it easy, let your legs get used to it". Ruby gave him a look of relief, "Thanks Kai"
~Thirty Minutes Later~
The dance was in full swing, couples crowded the dance floor, waltzing away to the music. Yang, Kai, Ruby and Weiss stood at the edge of the dance floor, watching Sun dance with Blake, who was laughing all the way.
Yang: "I told you she would come"
Weiss: "Mission accomplished".
Ruby: "So...what do we do now?"
Kai: "We're at a dance Ruby. So dance. Have fun!" He turned to Yang, holding out a hand to her, "Speaking of which, I believe I owe you a dance". Yang giggled and took his hand, "Don't mind if I do". They walked away to the dance floor, and Weiss walked off in the opposite direction, leaving a very confused and possibly overwhelmed Ruby behind.
Kai: "Well come to think of it I can't really say I'm a dancing person"
Yang: "Knowing you, you're probably just over thinking it. Don't think, feel" she took one of his hands in hers and placed the other around her waist and they began to sway gently to the music, "Just do whatever feels right"
