"Whoa! Steven!" Startled, Bismuth spun around to meet the boy's disgruntled glower with a enthusiastic smile. "Didn't see ya there!" She chuckles and rubs at your head while you traced a finger along her unique gemstone. Steven's eyelid twitches as he did a little power walk over to you two, looking quite tense. "So, where'd you find this little one?" She tickled your belly with her index finger, making you squeal and giggle. "Bishmuth!" You squeaked involuntarily, making her chuckle and blush faintly. "A sharp one at that." she smiled as she watched you play and nibble at her finger.

This made steven wince in envy as his hands clenched themselves. He looked like he wanted to just snatch you back, but he thankfully refrained and instead tried to keep his frustrations at bay to keep the mood light for now. "They washed up on a beach a few months ago." He replied, his response mildly sharp and impatient, though the large gem didn't seem to notice as she set you down. "Oh really?" She sounded quite surprised. "Wow, I didn't even think creatures like that even existed here!" She gives you a little pat on the head, looking your small form over again. "Then again, when it comes to earth I shouldn't be surprised," She chuckled, watching in interest as you tottered a few paces away from her, before pausing to preen your wings. "Homeworld would've never come up with something like this!" You look up at the periwinkle gem, eyes widening in interest.

Homeworld? Where's that?

Steven must have seen the curious flash in your eyes because he suddenly became strangely unnerved. "Ah- em- Well, I-I didn't think so either." he was already stepping towards you, reaching to grab you. "(Name) think we should get going-" Bismuth suddenly stood in front of you, putting an arm out to halt him. "Take it easy there, little bud," She advises, gesturing to you matter of factly. "They just got here! We should at least let them get a feel of the place!" He grunted softly in indignation, watching as you wandered further away from the group, chirping and clicking to yourself in interest of everything. "Gaaah, but i don't want them going too far without me..!!" He exclaimed impatiently, his voice raising in hopes of stopping you, only for peridot to snicker. "As you can see, Steven is understandably very protective of little siren universe over there." Peridot gestured, her voice light and joking. "I believe it's something called..." she paused, feigning thought for a second before giving a smug smirk at the teen whilst air quoting, "...Maternal instincts." Bismuth chuckled in amusement as Steven growled, cheeks burning. "Guuuys!"

You turned and watched with a lifted brow as the two gems began to playfully tease the strangely irritated and flustered steven, either unaware of his discomfort or not taking it seriously. you squinted slightly, tipping your head to the side.

...Why was he so defensive to begin with?

"What the-?"

Your ear twitched at a soft yet unfamiliar voice behind you, making you freeze up in startlement. The two gem look away from the flustered steven to regard the new voice in a newfound joy. "Ah, there ya are!" Bismuth gives a friendly smirk to the blue gem. Peridot seemed more excited than Bismuth for some reason as she threw her hands up. "You're just in time, lazuli!" she exclaimed. "What you're looking at now is the first siren of the crystal gems!" Your eyebrow lifted curiously and you tipped your head to the side. ...lazuli? curious, you to look over your shoulder to see who they were speaking to.

Oh wow...!

Standing behind you, was a tall, lean female with slightly messy chin length hair with long side bangs that covered her cheeks slightly and long bangs that covered her forehead. Your pupils dilated in awe at the being before you, a hushed "Oooooh..." Sounding from your partially opened mouth. This must be yet another gem friend of steven... You thought, watching as she knelt down onto one knee, staring at you in interest.
