BEING BACK IN HOGWARTS FEEL SURREAL. Knowing what you know. Stepping your foot, where many will die definitely feels uncomfortable to Gwen. She entered the castle together with her group of friends, just to be separated by their different houses. James waved his hand, but Gwen was too busy inside her head.
"Welcome back students of Hogwarts! You must know about the danger outside our doors. Please take care of yourself!" Dumbledore started. His eyes shifted towards Gwen, which the girl noticed immediately. He nodded at her, she takes it as a signal to talk later on. She was informed that her father had written him a letter of notice about her new knowledge. After the usual sorting, food came in on top of the big table. Sadly, Gwen was not having it. No mood to eat. In a way, she felt extremely burdened by her own awareness. It sucks that she can't tell anyone. Not even James or any of her friends.
"Gwen. Are you okay?" Pandora asked.
"I'm fine." The girl chuckled nervously. "What makes you think that I'm not fine."
"You just seemed out of it. If there are things you want to tell me, say it."
"I'm good Andy. Thanks."
"I'm here for you. No need to thank me."
"I know."
"But your boyfriend seems very worried about you."
"Huh?" Gwen looked at the Gryffindor table, James Potter was looking at her, with an intense stare. Searching her. Trying to pinpoint what was wrong. Truthfully, the first few days of knowing the upcoming future was bearable, but now it's eating her alive. Thankfully, she was allowed to talk to Dumbledore about this matter or she might as well gone crazy. The girl mouthed, 'Don't worry about me. I'm fine.'
James rolled his eyes and mouthed back, 'You're a bad liar. I'll interrogate you later.' Gwen shook her head at him and went back to her dinner. She decided to eat her problems away. Guess she still has an appetite. After dinner, one of the students told Gwen about being called to the headmaster's office. She immediately went away. The door was already opened as if waiting for her.
"Hello Ms Selwyn." Dumbledore said softly.
"Professor."
"I must say, I wasn't surprised about the path you were chosen into."
"You weren't?"
"You're an excellent witch. How could I? I knew that you are a special girl Ms Selwyn."
"Right." What an odd man. Seems like he knows everything. Very suspicious.
"If you don't mind telling me what you saw? The full story."
"Of course." Gwen told the headmaster every single detail that she remembered. From her own analysis, Dumbledore is a very mysterious man. Little was known about the old professor, except for the fact that he defeated Grindelwald. His eyes twinkled in a way making her feel like he knows everything.
