WAKING UP IN THE MORNING, THE BROWN HAIRED GIRL IS READY TO OPEN PRESENTS. Gwen grabbed a comfortable oversized sweater, which belonged to James, she put it on over her pajamas and ran downstairs.
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!" Gwen shouted. That definitely will wake everyone up. Her sister had already apparated back to her fiancée place. So, it was just her and her parents.
"Calm down, little monkey." Gabriel, her dad chuckled. "You're grown up now, having a boyfriend and all."
Right. She almost forgot about the event from last night. She's James Potter's fake girlfriend now. Wait. Does that mean that she has to pretend to be his girlfriend in Hogwarts. Probably not.
"Ha ha dad. I'm still a child. Did you get me something cool this year?" She snickered.
"Of course he did, you will always be his little princess." Her mother's sleepy voice came on.
"Okay now open your presents." Gabriel said to his daughter as he wrapped his arms around his wife's shoulder.
Gwen opened her presents from her family and friends. Her parents gave her some dresses, but what she loved the most was one of the family heirloom locket with a moving picture of her and the family. The locket is an enchanted locket to notify her of incoming dangers.
"This- this is grandmother's locket."
"It's a powerful object. Have it on you at all times."
"Thank you. I will cherish this." Gwen smiled gratefully.
"Of course darling."
"Go on. Open the presents from your sister and friends."
Adeline gave her a beautiful backless green dress, a bit scandalous but appropriate enough. Remus gave her some muggle snack — she forced him to get her that for Christmas, Sirius gave her a silver bracelet with a deer, dog, wolf and rat pendants that looks expensive — a reminder of the boys to her, Peter gave her a photo book consisting of their friend group over the years — he's such a sweet boy — there's a lot of pictures of her and James, that she didn't know were taken, The Potter couple gave her, a pair of emerald earrings, they definitely have an expensive taste. Lastly, James, the present she opened last, he gave her an emerald ring that fits her fingers — it was beautiful and it matches the earrings his parents gave her. What was with the whole jewelry themed presents this year.
She finished opening her presents and hugged her parents. She ran to her room and immediately wrote a thank you letter to all of her friends and she'll be going to the Potters anyways. She sent her owl Kiki to send the letters.
Drinking a cup of warm milk, she immediately took a shower to go to her neighbor.
"Mum, I'm heading to the Potters."
"Greet them for me." Gwen nodded and left.
The brunette girl knocked the front door of the Potters. The door opened revealing a James Potter smirking.
