Rowan's POV
I walked up to my front door and knocked a couple times. Dad finally opened the door, and he had a worried look on his face.
"Rowan, where were you?"
"Sorry daddy, i was reading with Simon, and i lost track of time," i answered. Then, out of no where mum walked out.
"Rowan, where were you? You were gone for 3 hours!"
"I was reading with Simon, and then i lost track of time."
"Oh alright. Just make sure it doesn't happen again."
"Yes, mum."
"Now go upstairs and wash up for dinner."
"Okay," i walked up the stairs silently, got my pajamas, and walked into the bathroom.
Mrs. Winegar's POV
"That Simon kid, and his other siblings have been causing trouble ever since we moved in to this house 12 years ago," i said, "i certainly don't want him to teach Rowan to be so naughty."
"Yeah they might be naughty kids, but they are the only children's here."
"I remember one time they threw a baseball at our window, and the glass shattered, ugh those kids," i begun ranting about all the things those kids have caused.
"Martha, give those children a chance."
"But John what if Rowan becomes naughty like them?"
"Martha as you can see we live in the middle of no where, and those are the only kids here that Rowan can bond with."
"Fine, but right when Rowan starts acting up i'm going to tell Rowan to stay away from them," i said.
Rowan's POV
I finished washing up, and i walked downstairs. Mother seemed annoyed, and father was cheery like usual. They were at the dining table already. I walked over and sat down.
"What's for supper?" I asked.
"We are having meatloaf tonight," father answered. The food came a while later, and we ate in silence. After i finished eating i went straight upstairs to bed.
"Goodnight mother and father."
"Goodnight sweetie," father answered. Mother just nodded her head. Is mother mad at me?
Mr.Winegar's POV
After Rowan went up to bed Martha (Mrs. Winegar) went to go wash up. After i hear the bathroom door close i went to Rowan's room. I knocked and a couple seconds later Rowan opened her door.
"Father why are you up here?"
"I have to tell you something." i walked into her room and sat on her bed. "Your mother is annoyed because she thinks the Brown children are bad influences."
"Why? The Browns are nice people," she asked.
"Well your mom is still holding a grudge about them breaking her window 2 years ago," i answered.
"But that was two years ago. She certainly doesn't still hate them."
"You don't know your mother, she can hold a grudge forever, they said sorry, but she still doesn't accept their apologies."
"But she seemed nice when she was talking to Mr. Brown."
"Yea, she is mad at the children's not Cedric."
"Oh, but she won't ban me from seeing them right?" She asked with hopeful eyes.
"Of course not, just make sure they don't cause trouble for your mother."
"Alright, goodnight father."
"Goodnight Rowan." I then left her room.
Next Day
Rowan's POV
Ok, so now i know why mother was annoyed, so i have to tell the Browns to be careful around my mother.
Simon's POV
"Ok, so father says that Rowan, and her parents are coming over for supper..." i started.
"Yea we should prank Mrs. Winegar, but don't prank Rowan or Mr. Winegar," Eric said.
You see we don't like Mrs. Winegar, she is snobby, and she is still mad about the broken window. We already apologized thousands of times, i don't even know how Rowan can live with her.
"Ok so we should put an exploding thing in her plate, so her food goes on her," Seb suggested.
"That's perfect!"
"Alright now we just have to put the exploding bean in her plate before she sees." (A/N i don't really know what those are called)
Later at supper
(Still Simon's POV) We have already put the exploding bean in her plate. We waited a couple minutes until dad opened the door, he doesn't know about our plan. Rowan walked in first. Then her parents came in.
"The kids are in the dining room already." I heard dad say.
Once Rowan sat next to me she whispered "i really need to tell you something." Right then Rowan's parents sat down.
"Alright tell me later. I have to see something," i whispered back.
"But it's really important..."
"Not right now," i answered.
She sighed "alright..." After everyone began eating, i watched quietly as Mrs. Winegar ate her food. Then suddenly all her food exploded on her.
"Ahhhhh!!!!" She screamed like a banshee. My siblings and i were all laughing. "YOU! YOU ALL DID THIS! DIDN'T YOU?!"
We continued snickering, and laughing.
"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY WELL-- I FORBID ROWAN FROM EVER SEEING YOU GUYS EVER AGAIN." and with that she dragged Mr. Winegar and Rowan out the door.
"Wait Martha, John," dad yelled out. After a while dad came back in. "You just scared our only neighbors away. How do you feel now!?" He yelled. We didn't answer. "Go upstairs, and go straight to bed now!" We all walked upstairs silently.
In the bedroom
"Is Mrs. Winegar serious about not letting us see Rowan ever again?" Chrissy asked.
I looked out the window and i could see Rowans rooms lights are opened. "I don't know."
"Will we ever see her again?" Lily asked.
"I said i don't know!" I was annoyed maybe i shouldn't have pranked her. What do i do now?
