" SHE "Iwaizumi's POV
"Come on Shittykawa!" I shouted in annoyance throwing my bag over my shoulder. "Relax Iwa-chan." Oikawa calmly said slipping his casual shoes on. "I want to head home I'm exhausted." I closed my locker and turned the lock.
"Me too but I don't like being left in the locker room alone." Oikawa sighed sluggishly throwing his bag over his shoulder. I quickly put on my casual shoes and slowly began to walk toward the door. "Wait up!" Oikawa shouted almost tripping as he ran toward the door.
"My goodness, you can be such a handful at times." I put my hand on my forehead. "No, I'm not," Oikawa said trying to gain his balance. I opened the door and walked out of the locker room with Oikawa trailing behind me.
He naturally caught up with me and we walked alongside one another. "I'm so hungry." Oikawa sighed holding his stomach. "Well go home and make something," I said putting my hands in my jean pockets. "Make something? But...I want take out." Oikawa crossed his arms.
"Can you stop complaining Crappykawa!" I yelled. "Stop yelling it's late Iwa-chan!" Oikawa said nervously. "If you want take out I'm not coming with you. I'm hella tired." I said running my hand through my hair.
Suddenly I heard a whimpering noise near the door that leads into the school hallway. I stopped walking for a moment to investigate. "What is it Iwa-chan?" Oikawa questioned looking over my shoulder.
"Just go ahead Oikawa, I think I forgot something in the locker room," I said obviously lying. "What really? Uhm okay then. Seeya tomorrow then!" Oikawa smiled and walked ahead.
I walked nearby the hallway door to see what this mysterious noise was. It sounded as though someone was crying. I quietly turned a corner and saw a small girl sitting on the floor hugging her knees as she cried.
Should I say something? I mean it's dangerous if she stays here alone...
In her hand, she was holding onto her cellphone. She looked as though she had been here for a while. As I stared at her for a moment from the corner she lifted her head up and looked at me with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Hm." She softly said wiping a tear from her cheek. I felt my cheeks turn slightly red and I coughed trying to think of an explanation for why I was just staring at her.
"Are you alright?" I asked trying to act serious. She looked down at her shoes for a moment and shook her head. "Mind if I sit with you?" I asked her with a soft tone.
I never usually am this friendly especially with a girl I don't even know. I just had the feeling she needed someone by her side... and that was me.
She nodded lightly still staring at her shoes. I approached her and sat beside her. She stayed quiet and began to lightly graze her fingers over the grass patch in front of her.
I had no idea how to help her. She had been crying for a while. Her eyes were red and puffy and it looked as though she was shivering from the cold.
"Do you want my jacket?" I asked her taking out my windbreaker from my bag that I had recently got from the Coach.
She didn't respond but I lightly put it around her shoulders. "Thank you." She said quietly. "No problem." I nodded.
The silence distilled for a few moments. The girl sneezed and she looked at her cellphone. She then looked over to me, "So why did he come here?" She asked with a shaky voice.
I honestly had no clue why I came I mean I felt bad and she looked as though she needed someone to comfort her... but then again I'm fucking tired and wanna get some sleep.
"I just saw you here alone and it looked as though you needed someone." I awkwardly smiled. "Really... I never expected me to look like this at all." She weakly said. She put her cellphone in her bag that she had slung around her.
"May I ask what happened?" I asked in concern. "Before I do... what's your name?" She asked. "Iwaizumi Hajime," I said extending my hand toward her. She nodded, "I'm (y/n)(l/n)." she softly shook my hand.
I've never had actually held a girl's hand before... Her hand was so small and cold. Damnit Oikawa really does this every day! How does he do it?
"It's a pleasure to meet you." I nodded. She softly smiled, "So you want to know why I was crying." She sighed. "I mean if you don't want to tell me that's completely fine." I nervously rubbed the back of my head.
"No, it's fine. I have no one else to tell this to anyway." She looked down sullenly. I sighed and leaned back slightly.
What does she mean by "no one else to tell this to"?
"My boyfriend told me 3 hours ago he'd come and pick me up. He promised to take me to dinner somewhere nice but he didn't come to get me today. This is the 10th time this has happened." She said looking at me with her eyes watery.
"The 10th time." I sighed and crossed my arms. She nodded, "He keeps doing this. He promises me things and in the very end, I'm waiting alone. This time I believed him that he would actually keep his promise and not stand me up but here I am... again." She sighed trying to hold in her tears.
"If a guy doesn't make time for you... you should dump that jackass immediately." I said angrily. Man what kind of guy stands up a sweet kind girl like this... She even waited hours for him.
"That's what I've been thinking of doing but I can't. He treats me so differently than anyone else and he was the first guy to ever ask me out and I can't abandon that." She sighed. "What do you mean he treats you differently? He stood you up and you willingly waited hours for him... how is this love. If it were me I'd be 10 minutes early to see my girlfriend." I sighed and stood up.
She looked up at me. Her eyes twinkled as the moon reflected in them. Her eyes were so beautiful... I almost felt intranced by staring into them.
"Wow." She smiled softly. "It's not right to stand up a girl... especially a kind-hearted girl like you." I smiled looking at her. "Thank you, Hajime." She said standing up from the ground. "For reals just dump this ass of a boyfriend. He's just using you." I said coldly.
"It's hard you know. Especially to break up with your first boyfriend." She sighed and walked forward dusting herself off. "Yeah it's going to be difficult but you need to think about yourself. Staying with him... is it making you happy? You were just crying moments ago, this relationship can't be making you happy especially if they stand you up." I slipped my hands out my pockets.
"Your right." She nodded fixing her bag on her shoulders. "So break it off when you can, okay." I smiled and slightly tilted my head.
"Thanks again." She smiled. "Of course! So mind if I walk you home?" I asked as she joined walking alongside me. "Sure, I don't live that far it's just a couple of blocks if that's okay with you." She said pointing toward the road ahead of her as we walked out the school gates. "Yeah, that's fine." I grinned.
The walk wasn't long and we just chatted about our interests and got to know one another a little better.
"Oh, I have a question," I asked with my hand on my hip. "What is it?" She said tilting her head. "Who's your boyfriend anyway?" I looked down at her with concern. "His name is Ushijima." She sighed with her hands behind her back.
I stopped in my tracks, "Ushijima." I said blankly. "Yeah." She nodded stopping as she noticed I wasn't keeping up. "What's his first name?" I asked terrified.
"Wakatoshi."
"Ushijima Wakatoshi."
No fucking way...
