" Confession "

After the whole situation happened Iwaizumi settled you down onto the ground. You dusted the sand off your swimsuit. It was very awkward being near Iwaizumi.

He just openly confessed to you right in front of your classmates. Tooru's confession was alright with you cause he did this constantly so you were used to it. But Iwaizumi's words left you confused and speechless.

Tooru approached you and lied his hands on your bare shoulders, "It's alright (y/n) don't worry about what Iwaizumi said. He was just doing that to protect you and also to scurry those girls away."

You looked over to Iwaizumi, who was playing with the strings from his swim trunks. "Is that true?" You questioned Iwaizumi.

He stopped fiddling with the strings of his swim trunks, "Yeah it is. Sorry if I startled you." Iwaizumi nervously smiled rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh it's alright. Thank you for saying that to protect me." You smiled feeling your cheeks burn up. "So where is (y/n) going to stay now. If she stays in the room with those girls she'll surely get jumped on or something." Tooru crossed his arms.

Iwaizumi thought for a moment, "There is a small empty room available inside our room if that's okay with you?" He asked. You gladly accepted it.

All you wanted to do was stay away from them for awhile. Who knows what they'll do the next time they catch you alone somewhere.

You followed behind Iwaizumi and Tooru to there room. They slid open the door to the room and all the boys stared at you.

"You brought a girl Iwaizumi?" Kindaichi said resting his arm on his knee in a sitting position. "It's probably a girl Tooru brought." Yahaba sighed as he leaned against the wall.

Iwaizumi glared at the boys and immediately they stayed quiet and ignored you.

"It's just a friend of ours. She'll be staying with us for tonight. So if any of you try anything... I will slam you to the ground." Tooru said evilly. "Yes of course." Kindaichi said saluting to Tooru.

"Why the hell are you saluting?" Kunimi said scrolling on his phone. Kindaichi awkwardly lowered his hand.

Iwaizumi and Tooru brought you to the empty room nearby the boy's room and lied out a futon for you to sleep in.

"This should be good." Iwaizumi said flatting out the futon. "I'll get the female teacher to bring your things here." Tooru said as he left off.

You started to shiver because all you were wearing was a swimsuit. Iwaizumi noticed it and threw his jersey jacket over your shoulders. "This should help." He smiled. "Thank you again Iwa." You softly said.

Tooru came running over with your things and lied it beside your futon. "Okay will leave you be so you can change." Iwaizumi said. He grabbed Tooru's arm and dragged him out the room and shut the door.

Since it was so cold you quickly changed into some sweatpants and a oversized t-shirt. You sat on your futon and combed out your hair.

As you combed your hair, the thought of Iwaizumi confessing to you crossed your mind again. For some reason it gave you butterflies. He may have said it was all fake to avoid the issue at hand but... it seemed so genuine to you.

You then heard a knock at the door, "Can we come in now?" Tooru asked. "Sure!" You shouted. Tooru opened the sliding door and quickly came to sit down beside you.

Iwaizumi stood at the door frame watching you and Tooru talk. Tooru just blathered about random things and occasionally flirted with you inbetween topics.

Eventually the teachers brought us dinner and they actually didn't complain about you staying in the boys' room. As long as you were separated from one another then it was acceptable.

The dinner was absolutely amazing and Tooru and Iwaizumi introduced you to everyone.

"Nice to meet you." Yahaba said extending his hand out to you. "Nice to meet you aswell." You nodded and shook his hand.

The rest of them introduced themselves and the night went smoothly soon after that.

"I'm gonna head to bed." You said standing up from the kotatsu. "Already?" Tooru pouted. "It's been a long day for her so let her get some rest." Iwaizumi said standing up from the kotatsu.

You sluggishly walk to the other room and quietly get into the futon. Iwaizumi watched you as you tucked yourself into your futon.

"Hey (y/n), I just wanted to apologize for all that happened out there." Iwaizumi nervously said. "No you don't need to apologize Iwa. You helped me alot today and I really appreciate that." You smiled.

Iwaizumi looked down, "I didn't realize those girls were treating you that way." He sighed. "Really you don't need to worry. I've dealt with much worse." You chuckled nervously.

"May I sit next to you." Iwaizumi asked. You felt your face turn red, "Oh y-yeah sure." You nodded.

Iwaizumi sat beside you as you laid in your futon. "Were lying to me (y/n)?" He asked. "Lying? What do you mean?" You said with a puzzled look.

"You said you were okay... but you know it's easy to tell that you weren't okay." Iwaizumi said lying his hands behind him on the ground. You sighed, "Yeah your right Iwa. I did lie."

At this point, was it okay to finally tell Iwaizumi. To tell Iwaizumi what you've been going through the entire time. Was it already time to break down that wall you've built between you two.

You gulped, "I was actually pretty torn about the whole breakup situation. In the very end I continuously blamed myself for the entire thing."

"That day when you said you tripped... you never tripped did you. You were crying about... him." Iwaizumi stared up at the ceiling.

Thinking for a moment you decided to let it spill out. "I was crying about him... he was my first and it really hurt to let him ago. He did ghost me and he never kept his promises but he always motivated me when i need it." You said on the verge of tears.

"And right now, its really hard to let him go." You sobbed as tears fell down your cheeks. "I'm so conflicted with my feelings and just how everyone dislikes me. I still haven't made friends with any of the girls in my class... i've been lonely ever since the beginning of high-school." You sniffled and sat up in your futon.

Iwaizumi was amazed at how much you've gone through all by yourself. This was only natural... it was time that you finally broke.

As you silently cried your feelings out, Iwaizumi came closer to you and pulled you into a warm embrace. "I'm glad... your finally telling me all this. You don't know how worried I was about you. I told myself to wait for you..and now you told me everything." Iwaizumi said as you buried your face in his chest.

"I really miss him Iwa." You cried in his arms. Iwaizumi softly caressed your hair. You gripped onto his shirt as you let out your tears.

"I just want to be... a normal girl." You softly said as more tears streamed down your cheeks.

Iwaizumi hated the negative things you were spouting out about yourself. He wanted to comfort you even more, reassure you, tell you everything was going to be okay.

Without a thought he lifted your chin to face him, "You mean the world to me (y/n). To me atleast... you are the most amazing girl I've ever met." Iwaizumi said as he wrapped one of his arms around your waist to lift you up toward him.

He then passionately kissed you on your lips.

You kept your eyes shut and cried as you kissed him back. Those words reminded you of Ushijima... when you first met.

But that was all in the past and this was now.

Iwaizumi was lying... because

he is deeply in love with you.
