Ushijima came toward you and sat beside you on the couch. "How did you get in?" You asked avoiding eye contact. "You told me a while ago you have a spare key hidden in one of the window frames." Ushijima pointed toward your spare key sitting on the kitchen counter.

"Oh, I forgot." You nervously chuckled. It was so strange to see him appear out of nowhere like this. He sat back with his hair slightly damp from the shower. "Your house hasn't changed much." He softly spoke. You nodded.

There was a moment of silence until Ushijima grabbed you by the waist and leaned you toward him. For a second you were kinda hesitant but you remembered that Ushijima is your boyfriend... Why should you be scared?

Ushijima used to visit like this when you both first started dating. He would appear at your doorstep with lunch or dinner and we'd eat in my kitchen and talk.

His warm chest filled you with so much warmth. You could hear his soft heartbeat as you laid on him. "I missed you." He said caressing her head. "I did too." You said beginning to get teary-eyed. Ushijima didn't notice you were on the verge of tears but he continued to softly caress you to calm you down.

So does he really care?

"It's not that late, want to head out for dinner?" He asked. "I kinda already ate." You nervously said sitting up off of Ushijima's chest. "Oh, what did you have?" He asked. "Just went to a cafe for some pastry sandwiches." You smiled.

Ushijima sighed, "Well I'm glad you ate." He smiled and softly patted your head.

You haven't felt this loved in so long. Finally, the one person you wanted to notice you was now giving you affection. "Thank you, Ushi." You said holding his hand tightly.

As you sat by him, your heart fluttered and your face was turning red by the minute. Ushijima turned your head to face him. "Still beautiful as always." He complimented you. He then slightly leaned in to kiss you. For some reason, you weren't prepared for him to kiss you like that and your instincts told you to push him away.

Quickly you softly pushed him back as he leaned in. "Huh." He said in shock. You then realized what you just did. "I'm so sorry! I just wasn't expecting it... I'm sorry Ushi" You said in embarrassment. Ushijima looked down for a moment, "Do you still love me, (y/n)?" He asked blankly.

"Of course I do!" You said in concern. He grabbed your hand and squeezed it slightly, "Then why did you hesitate just now?" He questioned you. He was looking into your eyes deeply. You were terrified as he held your hand. His grip was getting stronger.

You gulped, "I was just unprepared that's all." "Unprepared? We've been together for a long while and we've kissed multiple times in the past. Why now do you hesitate?" He asked getting closer to you.

Why would he be interrogating you so suddenly? "Ushi you're hurting my hand." You said slightly whimpering. Ushijima had forgotten about his strength and he let go of your hand. He stood up from the couch.

"I think I should head home, I have practice tomorrow." He sighed and began to walk toward the door. "Wait." You ran to him and grabbed his sweatshirt sleeve. He stopped and looked down at you. "The reason I pushed away was that... it's been so long since you've tried to kiss me. The whole experience has become new to me again and I'm so sorry." You said feeling a tear fall down your cheek.

Ushijima softly smiled and bent down to your level. "Well, what if I ask you this time so that you are prepared." He asked. "Yeah." You said blushing a lot. "Close your eyes." He said. You closed your eyes, "Okay." You said.
