Your POV

Your phone vibrated loudly. Checking your notifications you realized it was Ushijima. You sighed and decided to see his message.

Ushijima: Hey (y/n) sorry I wasn't able to take you out tonight.

Anger and disappointment had raged within you but you didn't have the gut to say anything. You swallowed your words and responded with-

You: It's fine Ushijima. Did you get home safe?

Ushijima: Yes thanks for asking, did you have your dinner yet?

You sighed because he was going to take you out to dinner tonight but he flanked on you...

You: No I haven't but I have leftovers from my mother.

Ushijima: Oh alright then. Make sure to eat and sleep well. I'll see you tomorrow.

Goodnight.

You: Goodnight.

You shut off your phone and lied down on your bed. Tonight was a complete disaster...

The only good thing that had happened to you was meeting Iwaizumi Hajime. You both had aquatinted with one another as he walked you home.

It was quite strange how he reacted when you said your boyfriend's name but you didn't have time to explain it to him.

He will probably ask you again tomorrow... you wondered why he got so shocked by that?

- next morning -

You yawned loudly and stood up in your bed. Quickly you looked over at your phone and the time was 6:30. "I need to get up." You mumbled trying to escape your blankets.

In hast, you put on your school uniform and did your hygiene routine, and decided to skip breakfast because you need to hurry!

Zooming down the road, ahead of you was Iwaizumi who also happened to be walking to school as well.

You crashed right into his back and you both tumbled onto the floor. "Ow." He said rubbing the back of his head. "Omg Hajime I'm sorry!" You panicked getting off of him.

"Oh (y/n). It's fine but are you okay?" He asked getting up. You nodded, "Sorry I was in a rush." You nervously smiled.

"Why in a rush I mean you do live close by." He chuckled. "I want to be early so you know the teachers will know that I am willing to do whatever it takes." You said confidently.

"Interesting." Iwaizumi said putting his finger on his chin. "But yeah anyway I didn't know you lived so close by." You asked him.

"I don't really live close by... a certain someone dropped me off on the sidewalk because I called them a name." Iwaizumi sneered. "Wait who?" You questioned. "A dumbass friend of mine." Iwaizumi sighed and put his hands in his jean pockets.

You slightly chuckled, "Your friend does sound kinda mean." "He's annoying and I'm going to smash his head in once I see him!" Iwaizumi clenched his fists. You nervously smiled walking beside him.

In a matter of minutes, you two arrived at the front gate. "Alright, I'm gonna head to class so thanks for letting me walk with you." You nodded to Iwaizumi. As you turned around to walk to class you felt Iwaizumi grab your arm gently.
