You're the only one
Who makes me feel
That I'm not the only one
Who sheds these tears
You give me a home
Though I belong nowhere
And remind me I'm loved
When I feel I have no one
While everyone rejects me
You welcome me with open arms
And remind me I have a purpose
When I'm thinking of the markings on my own arm
You show me there's beauty in this world
That seems so cold and ugly
You take my rainy days
And you make them sunny
You show me there's more to life
Than the breaths I take each day
You allow me to share
All my hurt and all my pain
You show me that I'm worthy
Of the most beautiful things in life
Even when I push you away
And say I am just fine
You expose me to myself
And make me realize
That I am a person
Who doesn't have to hide
