THIRD PERSON'S POV
The next day starts with a song for Rose. She does her morning routine, then puts on her cheerleading dress, wears a jacket on top of it, and ties her hair into a low ponytail before heading out of the room with her backpack.
She hears her parents laughing as they talk, but her smile fades away upon hearing someone familiar in the house.
"Hey, morning, lazy bee!" Tyler says the moment her presence blossoms in the kitchen.
"See who decided to show up!" Her mom exclaims as she looks at Rose, expecting a surprised expression from her side.
But Rose's gaze is fixed on Tyler, who looks fresh and hot in the white shirt.
"Mom, I am going to the university!" Rose utters after a while, gaining everyone's attention.
"Hey, have breakfast first." Her mother speaks. The casual concern is evident in her voice with a tint of order in it.
"Na, I'm getting late." Rose brushes off the tension and kisses her father's cheeks and her mother's afterwards.
Rose's parents gape silently as she gets out without glancing at Tyler.
Their gaze then falls on him. They are confused because it's highly unlike Rose to behave coldly towards anyone, that too, towards Tyler. The least they expected was a scream of joy from her seeing him after six long years.
"Is everything alright, honey?" Her mom asks him.
"Yeah, yeah, she is just... angry with me!" Tyler passes a dry smile.
"Listen, son,"
"Kidnap her and take her somewhere where the food is good." Her father speaks before showing off his mischievous childish laugh.
"Fredrick!" Her mom yells.
Tyler immediately gets up from the chair and goes to hug Sara.
"Thanks for the breakfast, you still make the tastiest food!" He says and leaves after placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Bye, uncle!" He shouts from the door and gets out of the house as well.
ROSE'S POV
I can't believe he got the nerve to show up at my house after whatever happened last night! He's not the same person anymore, he is dangerous. He has a gun and a crazy gang obeying his every word! But why? He was out of town for six years and those years have changed him.
Whatever he is, he's not my best friend anymore, the guy with whom I used to spend my nights on the bridge talking and laughing.
I'm sure my parents had no clue know about him. Otherwise, they would've been freaking out like I was.
"Watch out!" I almost bump into someone,
"I am sorry!" I apologise without looking at the person and keep on walking.
I reach my locker; shoving my bag inside, I sigh.
"Hey Rose, practice after class!" I turn my head in the right direction hearing Millie shouting from a distance.
"I'll be there!" I yell back and take my subject books before closing the locker.
"Hey!" I jump and shut my eyes immediately to calm my heart down.
"Are you crazy?" I yell at Lily. Why is everyone appearing out of thin air?
"Are you okay?" She asks, giggling sweetly. Should I tell her?
